Static Ips are the ones that you yourself will define in your every computer in your network. Also, you need to configure your router to use static IP. So, 2 things to remember.

Setting your router for Static IP.

  1. Open your router web interface at http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 (depending on your router model)
  2. Disable the DHCP server by un-checking this DHCP option.
  3. Save your changed settings.
Configuring Static IP of computers.(This applies to MS Windows XP only)
  1. Click Start => Settings => Network Connections
  2. Right click on your LAN Connection and click "Properties".
  3. On the General Tab, scroll down to TCP/IP, Click on it to select and click the "Properties" button.
  4. Make sure that you ticked the option button: "Use the following IP Address" and you need to define the IP.

Can not find ip address on richo 1035. I tried to connect my richo 1035 with computers through internet. I did all to change ports on printer properties section. I am putting ip address of my service...

Connect the machine to a router or a switch with a network cable.
In used mode, under network settings - set the machine to DHCP, so it will get an IP adress from the switch/router.
Print out a network status page, and see if you've got an IP adress.

In the command window on your PC type: ipconfig/all and see the IP adress of your computer. Compare it to the adress the machine got from the router/switch and see if they are almost identical apart from the last digits.

Install the driver, and install the printer using device name, and you should be good to go. Or you can set the IP you got from the switch/router as a static adress, and install the copier using the IP adress.

HP 1312 printer running wirelessly from a laptop (Windows 7). Has always worked fine. Turned printer off when we were on vacation; now printer is "offline." Have reinstalled printer driver and...

Hi!

The problem you described can have multiple causes.

But one is more common:

Every device on your home network (wired or wireless) has its own IP adress. Usualy this IP adress is given automatically by the DHCP server contained in your wireless router. When a device is turned off for some time, it can receive when turned on again another IP adress than before.
So, if your printer has no static IP adress (entered by yourself during printer setup), it is very likely that it has now other IP than the address known by your computer. The computer sends the print jobs to the old adress and of course, nothing is printed.

Please check in your printers proprieties the adress of the TCPIP port assigned tom it, and also check on your router's management site what clients are connected to it.
The network communication between the computer and the printer can be checked by issuing a PING command from a command prompt.
e.g ping 192.168.1.***
the numbers are one example of an IP adress.

Please let me know if it helped, if you need more help ask again, I'll be glad to help you to get the problem solved.

Regards,
Bogdan

System Error E007

Are you getting this problem while trying to scan , if it is the most probale case is you are using DHCP setting on your pc and the ip address of the pc varies, so the machine is not able to send the documents scanned to the particular IP , to which the machine is configured what you can do is make the IP adress static and reconfigure the scanner by using sharp desk software or you can configure the scanner by giving the host nameof the particular PC if you have a DNS server , better way if you are not so familier with IT you go to network places, then click on view network connections and click on the properties and from the next window scroll down to TCP/IP click on properties and give a static IP, sub net and gate way this nos you can get by going to start menu on the run you type cmd then youwill get the cammand prompt window there you have to type ipconfig /all and press enter then it will give you so much information in which you can find the ip adress, subnet and gateway and give this to your pc and apply, then you open the internet explorer and type the ip adress on the adress bar and press enter then you can go to the machine web page then select administrtor setting the admin username and pass word is admin and admin, and press enter then go to image send settings and configure the newly given ststic ip to the particular PC, rate this and come back withmore queries.

Can you tell me what an ip addresse is im trying to connect to xbox live and it keeps asking for ip addresse

Every device connected to the public internet is assigned a unique number known as an internet protocol (IP) address. IP addresses consist of four numbers separated by periods(also called a 'dotted-quad') and look something like 127.0.0.1

since these numbers are usually assigned to internet service providers with region based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the region or country from which a computer is connecting to the internet. an IP adress can sometimes be used to show the users general location because the numbers may be tedious to deal with, an IP adress may also be assigned to a host name, which is sometimes easier to remember hostnames may be looked up to find IP adresses, and vice-versa. at one time ISPs issued one IP adress to each user. These are called static IP addresses. beacuse there is a limited number of IP adresses and with increased usage of the internet ISPs now issue IP adresses in a dynamic fashion out of a pool of IP addresses (using DHCP). these are referred to as dynamic IP addresses. This also limits the ability of the user to host websites mail servers, ftp servers, etc. in addition to users connecting to the internet with virtual hosting,a single machine can act like multiple machines (with multiple domain names and IP addresses).

Try using the HEX password instead of the ascii passphrase - also try to reset your AP temporarily in order to test the connection without ANY wireless security - if that doesn't connect, then the problem probably lies in the wireless router itself.

Subject: my ip adress

The Wireless Security might be enabled in your wireless network. Check the wireless settings of your wireless router (encryption or wireless MAC filter). If the wireless settings are correct, you may try to manually assign a static IP.
