I can get the cell back up to work on my simon 3

I have a simon 3 gsm cellular module i cant get the cell back up to work on my simon 3 alarm to do a voice call so the pannel can call on somone cell phone to alert them . what do i do to make it work when i connect the cell module to the pannel says module OK .

    I need the same for my Simon XT. I need just a cell module to call to my CAMS and not to any otner company. Is there any option 3rd party GSM cellular modules that work without Alarm.com cervice?

The vell module is not like a cell phone. It is specifically set up to go to the alarm.com network. You need to have an alarm company involved. Alarm.com can send you e-mail or tect messages if you have a smartphone, but you are going to be about $25-$30 per month to get that service.

Your problem is that the GSM 3055 is obsolete. This is a 2G communicator and cell towers in your area no longer support this device. Same with GSM 3060. You will need GSM 3G3070 for communications or the GSM 3G2060R interactive unit for use with smart phones.

Module ok simon version 3
You need a new battery. 6VDC 1.2AH. The GSM module runs directly off the battery and it is no longer getting a full charge.

GSM module is not sending SMS messages
I purchased an AT&T Go Phone to use it's sim card in my gsm module. It did not work. I called AT&T and they told me the gsm module is not supported. 
I then purchased a T-Mobile prepaid phone and installed it's sim card in the gsm module and it works perfect every time.

Installer code doesnt work
you cant reset it once its in an alarm state.  but if you can open the front and enter programing with the installer code, you can change the access codes.

The alarm says module ok every few seconds
Reason: The reason why the sys is saying module ok is becasue of the panel battery. This is a common problem with simon 3 and thats why i would not suggest this sys to anyone. The module is the cell unit thats send the signal to the central station wirelessly and it gets it power from the batteries.
Fixes. The only way to fix this issue is by replacing the panel batteries.

Smoke Dector need to be reset on alarm.com
try forcing a signal for the detector and the resetting it. that way alarm.com will se the alarm and restoral. if that does not work call alarm.com and have them help you. make them earn there money,
