Have you been to Epsons own site (http://www.epson.co.uk/Printers-and-All-In-Ones/Inkjet/Epson-Stylus-CX6600) and tried downloading the Epson Scan program?

Well you could order one from Epson and pay for it, or you could just go to their website and download all the drivers and software that were on the original disc.

Can't understand why you didn't go there in the first place instead of a third party site.
