My summer infant video monitor's screen went blank

My summer infant video monitor's screen just started going blank as of last night. Sound still works and you can get the picture if you hit it and it wants to work for a little while. Any suggestions?

Everything seems to work fine. The video no long shows picture unless in the same room as the monitor on the wall. As you walk away the video fades. I tried taking the battery out and putting back in. Didn't work. Could it need a new battery?

This just happened to mine too and i took the battery cover off and out of the handheld parent piece and put it back in, turned it on and it started working again. hopefully this is only a one time deal due to the fact that they are somewhat expensive (however the best ones supposedly) and i already replaced my first one that the screen stopped working on due to dropping it and replaced that for the little bit cheaper one and smaller one but has the talk back button. now that my daughter is getting older (16 months) i like having the option to be able to talk to her especially since i live in a 3 story house!! so anyone yea, just took battery out and put back in and seems to be working ok right now.

Summer infant video monitor beeps frequently that it has lost signal...it does this episodically throught out the night. Is there a solution for this problem? Or is this monitor a lemon?

If the sending and receiving units are going through walls or one is upstairs and the other is downstairs it may not have the range you need as walls will knock down the signal. Sounds like your right on the edge of the range maybe try to move the units closer together if possible and see what happens.

Why does it keep "saying" out of range?

if camera and base are within a few feet of one another does it have a problem obtaining a signal (syncing ) ?? as if it works ok then there might be a object that is getting in the way of the signal , radio waves move from its transmitter (camera) towards its receiver (monitor) in a straight line , if there is too large a mass in the way then the radio wave can't penetrate it and will be "lost" also ck both the camera's and bases battery levels (if they have one) for proper peak power level , as it takes energy to drive the radio signal towards its receiver .

Why is my summer baby monitor fuzzy on night vision?

I would say that your IR sensors are burning out. Turn the lights off and look at the camera. A bunch of small red lights should be coming on . You will see which ones and how many are burned out. There are a couple of fixes but the cheapest will be a new camera.

Is there any way to scan between only two cameras? We only have two and when we scan, it scans two blank screens as well. Ty!

Let it scan for 30 seconds or so and the monitor will figure out that that there are only two cameras and stop scanning the unused channels

When I turn on the monitor, I hear constant static. This is only one year old and I can't hear the baby because of the static and can't have the sound on at night because of the static. ...

Have you moved? Is it any further away from before? We had to buy a new "digital" video monitor because we moved and our wireless router interfered. Turn your router off and see if it works.

Had summer baby monitor for eight months, last night it stopped

Your monitor has become unpaired with your camera. Follow the instructions in the manual to pair them again (basically, tell the monitor piece to Add New Camera while you press the Pair button on the camera). The manuals can be downloaded from www.summerinfant.com.
