Your sensor (the device that absorbs light and transmits that data into a picture) has gone bad. Thats why all the photos seem to appear blank, but they are just black. It can be repaired and its usually the cheapest at a Canon center, but depending on the camera the fee is as much as getting a new camera. Sorry about your camera.
I would try a battery pull if you haven't already. It's most likely moisture damage, I would remove the back cover of your phone and check the battery. There is a white moisture strip on the battery. If it's pink/red and not white, you have moisture damage. If you can't think of any spills, there are a few other things that could have happened. For example having it in your pocket while you were sweating heavily? Or having it in a high humidity environment like a steamy bathroom? Drop in in the snow? The only real way to get it fixed is to replace the keyboard entirely. Thankfully on the BlackBerry it's not too difficult and the keyboard isn't too expensive. If it's under any sort of warranty, take it to your carrier and they should just replace it. If not, go to eBay and purchase a BlackBerry Curve 8520 keyboard, then view the video to see how to replace the keyboard.
Try formatting your phone and see if it works. First make sure your phone is turned off. Then press the following buttons simultaneously (at the same time:
Power button + * + 3
This will restore and reformat your phone into factory settings. Hopefully your phone will be able to start again as if it were being used the first time from the box.
you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried
Take off the front cover/faceplate of the phone and you should see the screen. You can clean that one and it should help. It it is the inside one, you have to take off the screws in the sides to get to the internal screen.
