Unlike
other laptops, Acer laptops integrate a computer management utility
called 'Acer eRecovery Management' to create backup of hard drive data,
create restore point, reinstall applications & drivers, and reset
Acer laptop to factory setting.
Step 1: Before starting your Acer laptop, ensure that there is no external storage device attached to it. Now start your laptop.
Step 2: Press 'Alt + F10' when the laptop starts booting, and wait for a moment while Windows loads the reset files.
Step 3:When 'Acer eRecovery Management' window appears, select 'Restore System from factory default' and click 'Next' to continue.
Step 4: Again click 'Next' to
reset your Acer laptop. This process will erase all data from your hard
disk and reset your Acer laptop to original factory settings.
Step 5: Click 'OK' in the notification window to begin the the resetting operation. Now wait while your Acer laptop is reset to factory settings.
Tips: You can also create a backup copy of your laptop data before factory reset. Simply click 'Backup' in 'Acer eRecovery Management' window.
Restore and recovery
The restore and recovery features allow you to restore or recover the system
from a factory default image, from a user created image, or from previously
created CD and DVD backups. You can also reinstall applications and drivers for
your Acer system.
1 Press <Alt> + <F10> or select Acer eRecovery Management from the
Empowering Technology toolbar to start Acer eRecovery Management.
2 Switch to the restore and recovery page by selecting the Restore button.
3 Select the backup point you would like to restore from. You can also
choose to recover the system from a factory default image, recover from a
previously created CD/DVD or reinstall applications and drivers.
4 Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process
To restore to factory setting, power up the laptop, when you see the logo, press both Alt and F10 key, it will initiate the recovery program. Follow the instruction on screen to restore to factory setting.
to restore the factory setting you must boot the laptop off of the restore CD it will wipe the drive and reinstall the factory software and drivers just walk through the prompts. holding the f8 key will not restore the laptop to factory settings it just allows for options during windows startup
her i think your problem is on operating system(OS) lavel and u need to recover yr os with recover dvd or recover disk whitch provide with yr laptop and if you need to reset factory setting you have to go on bios setup screen
1 start laptop
2 press F10 button
3 then go to last screen ad find " setup defullt opetimeze"
4 then got to save and exti button

You have not explained what is wrong with your computer.
Is the laptop working, does it boot up into Windows?
What are you trying to restore?
Are you trying to get into a previous Restore Point?
The Access button takes you into the BIOS, you can change the BIOS settings back to the Default settings (ie the factory default settings).
It is difficult to offer a solution without knowing the exact nature of the problem.
With no disk you cannot restore your computer to a factory settings, at least that your computer has a second disk with the restore settings installed on it (usually this disk is called restored)
