The printer only works for windoze. This is because the printer has no real processing capabilities. It is wholly operated by the OS. Get a new printer.

Hi Barbra, Check all connections. Have you installed the printer drivers? Try un-installing and installing the printer drivers again. Was there change in the operating system?[Say you were using windows xp and now you're using windows vista]You may need to install the driver that corresponds with your operating system. You can download the drivers from this link:www.siliconguide.com/drivers/device/583/
first uninstall any printer application that is on pc by clicking on start the goto control pannel then addremove programs then select the printer utility and click on uninstal, once uninstalled
go to www.support.dell.com and enter the printers service tag and go to drivers and download page , download the printer drivers and application from there on your pc and run it on the pc first install drivers then application. and restart the computer once done with it , it will start working .
hope this resolves he issue
hi
u will have to updaet the drivers from the support.dell.com
go to the site download the printer drivers for windows 7 on the xps machine run the setup , restart the computer it will start working fine
I had this same problem. I solved it by cleaning the bay where the cartridges go with some 100% Isopropyl Alcohol. Then i just replaced the cartridges with new ones and it worked fine!
I have the same problem but with an acer 5570Z. It used to work with the dell all-in-one, however, one day it just stopped working. It always says it cannot communicate with the printer. I've tried uninstalling it, and reinstalling it several times---no luck.
actually i dont think its compatible jackass although i thought someone might have an idea
