Hi,

If camera show Memory Card Error, Check whether the card is inserted properly or not. For SD card, check out the card lock switch is in the correct position and not stuck in between.

You can Format the memory card in the camera using the Setup Menu option (Format). Please be aware that formatting the memory card will remove any images currently stored on the card along with any other data.

If after formatting the card do not clear the error, try another memory card. If this occurs with only the one card it is likely that the memory card is defective, if the error persists over more than one card the camera may require service.

Rating the solution is highly appriciated...Good Luck

Normally, you can only insert an SD card one way. Try a different SD card or check to see if the SD card you're using has the "write protect" switch on. If that's not the issue try formatting the card in your PC and then format it in the camera.

I have bought new camera, just tried it today and keeps saying error code 99? turn it off and back on and remove battery and reinstall, tried all of this and it keeps saying the same?

Error 99 is a catch basin for a number of problems I'm going to assume that because this is a new camera that you didn't format the memory card. Formatting a memory card makes it function perfectly with the camera it's being used in. Also after pictures have been downloaded to the computer you need to format the memory card, cleaning all the old pictures off the card and giving you a fresh clean medium to use to put new pictures on. You will see also that there is this little handy garbage can icon and this is or should be used only when you find you need more space on the card when you are shooting and not the way to clear the card. The memory card should always be formatted in the camera.

Lens error :0x01110000 That's what it says when

Try one of these two fixes, if they dont work for you follow the link below for further troubleshooting.

http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Fix #1: Remove the batteries from the camera, wait a few minutes. Put a fresh set of batteries back in (preferably rechargeable NiMH 2500mah or better) and turn the camera on. If that didn't work, try pressing and holding the Function or OK button while turning the camera on.
Fix #2: If the camera's batteries ran down completely while the its lens was still open, the camera may show a lens error or not start properly when new batteries are installed. Remove the memory card and keep it removed, then install the new batteries. When you turn the camera on with the card removed it may come back to life, as this triggers a reset in some cameras. Error E30 (for older Canon's) means that you don't have a memory card installed, so turn it off, slip in the SD card and turn it on one last time

Memory card failure in camera

Your memory card needs a permanent home. Trading it between cameras is corrupting it. If there are pics on it, use a card reader to download them. Then choose a camera and format the card in that camera.

My sony dsc-w100 digital camera says format error and hangs on. what shall i do??

Take out memory card from camera, turn it On and check does it show format error?
If yes, press Home, Memory option and format internal memory.
If camera does not show format error then put back memory card in and press Home, Memory card option and format it.
This will delete all files/ data and will refresh memory card, take some pictures and check.
If after formatting, still format error exist, put new memory card.

Its how in the display format error.

Hi,
Try this:

- Turn off your camera and take the batteries out
- Then take the memory card out
- Leave the batteries out for around 10 minutes
- Then put the memory card back in
- Then put the batteries back in and turn the camera on
- Try to see the pic/watch movie again

If this didn't work, check the memory card with a card reader...if it still gives an error then the card might have malfunctioned or needs a reformat.

Good luck!
