If your computer does not have a card reader supporting mmc inside you may need to buy an external usb mmc card reader.
Your card reader supports Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, XD-Picture Card, Memory Stick Pro .
In any way, just plug card inside reader slot, after a couple of minutes the laptop will recognise memory as an external disk, and probably will pop up a list of options (play, open folder etc.). If it doesn't you will find the new disk in 'my computer', as one of removable disks.

Normally you'd just be able to open My Computer, and plug the card in to the built in slot, and it would pop up as the next available drive letter. If the internal slot is missing or inoperative, you could buy a cheap MMC to USB adapter, plug the card into the adapter, and the adapter into a USB slot.

Hi,

If you need an "MMC" card for your mobile device please visit a Mobile Electronics Store and ask the dealer whether they have the appropriate memory card for your mobile model.

It wont read my sd mmc card

Does your SD card work in the other device you use? If so then it could be that the SD card isn't formatted correctly. I would try to hook up the device that works with the SD card.

vivek,

try to insert your m2 memory card to other card reader device and check if it can be recognized. then scan for possible virus infection or reformat your m2 memory card.

if still no change, clean the contact pin from your m2 card. use metal folish liquid solutions to clean the copper contact pin of m2 card.

How can i use sd/mmc memory card reader on my laptop? ia am using dell inspiron 1525 model?

The SD/MMC memory slot is already configured to read standard and HDSD cards. Just remove the DELL blank from the slot by pushing it in until it clicks and release it. Then pull it out. Insert the SD/MMC card into the slot and push it in until it clicks. The DELL Blank is shorter than an actual SD/MMC card, so don't try to push the SD/MMC card any further than the 'click'. Remove by pushing in until it clicks, release, remove.

SD card slot -

The slot is for multiple card formats, usually SD/CF/xD/MMC etc...

Look at it closely you should see different contact points inside, your sd card should slip into one of the slots inside the larger slot.

BUT!!! Some user guides are printed for entire families of notebooks and mention all the available options for that type of notebook. Your laptop might not have come with an SD card slot at all even if it is mentioned in the book.
