Fan check flashes, then the unit shuts off. I found a replacement fan, will changing it solve the problem?

The fan relay is stuck closed. Get a new one and change the part that looks like it

check for proper voltage from the transformer to the blower to see if blower is recieving voltage. check continuity on motor windings.....open loop indicates windings are shot

Might change the battery on your control. I wish these had a hard wire thermostat not a big fan of the remote can be confusing.

The indoor fan or the outdoor fan? If it is the indoor fan the thermostat may be wired incorrectly or shorted. If the red wire and green wire in your thermostat maintain contact, the indoor fan will run all the time.

Please check outdoor unit. Compressor or fan motor getting high amps due to overheat. Clean condenser coil. If still problem, replace running capacitor. If out door fan less rpm replace fan capacitor. In some unit 2 in 1 capacitor is there. So replace one capacitor will rectify fan and compressor problem. Thanks. Helpful?

If you plugged the replacement fan into the power supply instead of the "male plug on the mother board" you will get that error message. You need to find a fan that has the female plug for the mother board. It solved my problem.

Their is a sensor screwed into the radiator which sends a signal to the fan relay when the radiator gets hot and activates the fan. If you changed the relay then this is most likely the problem. But it may be the fan. To check remove the plug from the fan and when radiator get's hot check if power is comming through the wire's.

Yes the set isnt recognizing that after market fan thats why the Fan error is flashing.

There appears to be a short in the unit. Not sure where. The power to the fan is not interrupted completly when the fan shuts down, still feeding voltage to the fan, keeping it running slow. Before checking the wiring, please turn off power first.

The fans are visible in the back and they can be cleaned with compressed air with no moisture built up in the hose line,We don't want to spray water in the fans.Is the only thing you can try and the unit's back does not have to be removed.If this does not solve your problem you might need the help of a servicer.Let Us know how it goes or if you need more information.
