The light fuse on a 1995 Lowe boat with a 30 hp Evinrude outboard motor may be located in different places depending on the boat's wiring and electrical system. However, the most common location for the light fuse is in the boat's fuse panel or in-line with the light wiring near the switch. You can refer to the boat owner's manual or wiring diagram for specific details on the location of the light fuse. If you don't have access to the manual, you may need to inspect the boat's wiring system or consult a marine electrician to help locate the fuse.
Check fuse.try connecting trim wires from t/tilt motor direct to battery supply to see if motor is ok.t/tit solenoid could be faulty, switches could be faulty.broken wire in loom or control box
Bypass solenoid, put jumper from pos on batt to starter motor, but could be so many things, faulty battery cables, broken wire in loom, worn starter brushes, faulty solenoid ,start in gear switch or ignition switch
Some of those had a battery ignition with a short cap and rotor, and some had a magneto which reached down into the bucket. Both had points and condenser like an old car. The cog belt location was critical. 2 teeth off and it would not fire. the key switch was wired diferently for each ignition system.
Hi there, You can find all parts diagrams for Evinrude engines here:
http://epc.brp.com
Just ignore the email entry part and go straight to the database. They are listed by Brand, then year, then HP size. I checked for you and it has the 1977 85HP models listed there. Then just find the right subsection of the outboard and it will bring up exploded diagrams for your viewing!
