you may want to check your installed programs. Some phones come with pre-installed programs taking up memory space.

If that doesn't work, check your inbox for received media such as mp3s or images.

It also would help to get a software like X-plore so you can see where all the memory goes to.

That cause your temp folder in your phone.
Try using "Oxygen Phone Manager" (PC app) to access it and delete unneeded file.

My nokia 5130 express music phone memory is 21 MB but now used phone memory is approx. 6MB and phone is showing free memory about 2.5MB
There are many hidden files and viruses in every data or files in your phone.If you have remove that particular files, still there are tempt files,recent files etc cannot remove.So the best thing is to restore it by selecting Restore All from phone setting.Before you do this make backup all important data like contacts to you sim etc.Thanks Good luck

Every phone has phone memory & memory card. You are getting memory error because your phone memory is almost full. It is required to run applications. Transfer photos, music from phone memory to memory card. Delete unwanted messages.

Nokia uses Symbian OS on the phone which is loaded in the memory just like computers, you will never get complete memory for use as it reserves the space for you phone OS.
you buy SD card to extend memory on your phone. Your phone supports upto 16 GB

This is because you have filled up all the other space in your phone. 30% or lower of your 20 MB is allocated for your phone's system utilities or core files that cannot be deleted or overwritten.

First: better use kasperaskey anti virus.
If your desktop pc or laptop has antivirus,
have your pc scan your fon memory through bluetooth, or usb cable

OR:
If you have Virus On mobile
1 - remove memory card.
2 - dial *#7780# or *#7073*
3 - It format your Phone
4 - Format memory card.
