Unable to access WiFi settings on Iphone

I've been using my iphone 3G with my home wifi network for weeks fine. Now for some reason my Iphone won't register any available networks and I can't get into the options for wifi on the Iphone...
I've restored the phone and updated the firmware...
Does any one know what else could be done to try and fix it...

How to connect an iPhone to the Internet

Connecting your iPhone to the internet is an easy process. You just simply use any application on your iPhone which uses internet service.

Your iPhone can either use WiFi or Cellular for internet access.

- A WiFi network is simply a wireless network. You can find them at coffee shops, libraries or even at your house if you a router setup for wireless access.

- Cellular data networks allow Internet connectivity over the cellular network. Check your carrier's network coverage in your area for availability.

When you use an application on your iPhone that requires internet service it will either connect to the last WiFi network used, or if that network is not available it will list all available networks in range. You can simply tap on the network you wish to join and it will connect. If the network requires a password it will show a lock icon. If no Wifi networks are available your iPhone will connect over the cellular data network and fees may apply.

To see all the Wi-Fi networks in range, from the Home screen choose Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap a network to join it.

The phone used to connect to the internet with wifi and 3G. Now it only works with 3G. It sees the wifi network, but says that it cannot connect to this network. It does this on every network I have tried...

If your looking to use only wifi at times. You need to go into the setting and shut off the 3g data and have only the wifi option active.

Cellular data over rules wifi at all times. That's their little trick at getting you to use up all your data plan.

Here's the steps:

1. Go to Settings
2. Scroll to Network
3. Cellular Data - slid to OFF
4. Tap General on the top left
5. Tap Settings on the top left
6. Scroll up to Wifi and tap
7. Make sure Wifi is on and finding networks.
(Note: Only networks without the lock are public networks unless you know the pass code to log on)
8. Make sure Ask To Join Networks is to OFF
9. Click the arrow blue arrow on the network you connect too and make sure HTTP Proxy is set to OFF
10. You should Connect just fine

To reverse this and go back to Cellular data. Follow instructions 1 - 5 except you wanna turn Cellular Data back On.

How do ii conect to my wifi?with a iphone 3g?

Go into the settings program (the icon with the gears). The second menu option should be WiFi. Tap it and turn on the WiFi by tapping the rectangular button on the top right. Your network should show up in the list, just tap to join.

Wifi on iphone 3g is not picking up wifi signal

it may be finding it but not showing the passcode screen to enter your wep key.
tap the wifi settings and set you network information and the wep network key which is located on your router.
If you put any other code in your wifi won;t connect.

Internet on iphone 3g??

Simply go to Settings > Wifi. If Wifi is off, turn it on. You'll see a list of available networks when you're in a hotspot. You can also have iphone tell you when you're near hotspots by turning on "Ask to Join Networks." You won't be able to use the internet when you're not in a wifi hotspot.
