Most common fault to cause this problem is cooling element in freezer section iced up. could also be faulty fridge stat not letting cold air through.first pull drawers out of freezer section, if back cover inside feels frosty or snowy, then likely evap (cooling element) is iced up.if so empty cab, switch off for 24 hours with both doors open, and restart. ice ups can be the result of the freezer door being left ajar, but can also be a problem with auto defrost as well as problem in refrigeration circuit. if problem comes back call a service engineer.

this unit may have a dirty condensor coil and the fan if goin may not be able to cool it .. ck the fan and clean the coil .. if this doesn't change the run times then it may be low on coolant . . things to note .. how are the tempts inside the freezer/ and the fresh food.. is ther ice build up in back of freezer . and will need a brand & model # to help you beter .. mm feed back pls ..

sounds like the cold coil is freezing up and this is a defrost problem.. ck the defrost themo/ and the heater . / may also be the defrost timer . but every 3 mo ( i would think the defrost terminator is failing .. ) mm

make sure the compressor is working first,if not then replace the ptc overload on the compressor,if you have had lights blow out in the refrigerator section and theres a chattering/clicking sound in the rear and the new lights strobe dimly and the digital temp read-outs are dark,then its the main board in the rear thats bad

Morning, This seems quite a easy problem to fix.! Check to see if the f/.freezer has to compressors (motors)? If so the you find that is more than likely to be that the fridge thermostat has broken. A very easy way of checking if you electrially minded is to remove the thermostat from the housing a connect the live and common wires together and switch on, It then should switch on if there is no other problems, Then just replace the stat.

Call (800) 688-9900. This number will send you to the Whirlpool call center. They recently bought out Maytag. This is a common problem with a board in the back of the fridge. This happened to me over the weekend. I called this morning, and they are sending the part overnight, and the tech is scheduled for the day following. As for a temp solution to the flapping noise (which is very annoying) there are two solutions. 1. You can put a small towel through the opening to muffle the sound. 2. You can tape the opening open using box tape or duck tape.
