You need a 3.5MM FEMALE Stereo Jack (looks like a headphone jack receptical) to stereo RCA MALE cord. Then plug it into the RCA monitor or audio out of the TV.

Cheers,

Kevin

How to hook up a cable remote to a Samsung cable box?

    • 1 Examine the back of the your cable box and the back of your Samsung HDTV. Note which cable jacks are of an identical size and color. Those are the ones that can be used to connect the two devices. Samsung HDTVs cluster all the jacks in a single panel near the power cord.
    • 2 Look at the square rectangular boxes labeled "HDMI In." These are for high-definition multimedia interface cables--combination A/V cables that provide the highest possible image and sound clarity. Look at the back of your cable box for an identical jack labeled "HDMI Out." If you see one, connect the two jacks using an HDMI cable. If you don't, you need to use another set of cables to hook up your cable box.
    • Sponsored Links
    • 3 Check for a series of three round jacks labeled "Component In" and color coded in red, green and blue. These are component video jacks, which provide a good HD picture, but not as good as HDMI. If your cable box has an identical set of "Out" jacks, use them to connect the two components.
    • 4 Look for a pair of red and white jacks (possibly connected to a yellow one). These are audio RCA jacks. If you're using component video cables to hook up your cable box, you will need to hook these two up as well: Component video cables don't provide sound. Any cable box that uses component video cables should also have "Out" jacks for RCA audio cables.
    • 5 Find the raised circular jack with a pinhole in the center of a milky white plastic interior. This is the coaxial jack. Samsung HDTVs label them "Ant In." Every cable box should have a corresponding jack labeled "Out" or "Ant Out." If none of the other cable jacks on the cable box match, use a length of coaxial cable to connect the TV to the cable box through these two jacks. You can also use this connection to hook the TV directly to the wall cable.
    • 6 Turn on your TV and cable box, and set the TV to the input jack connected to the cable box. You can do this by pushing the Menu button on the remote, scrolling down to the "Input" option and pushing "Enter." That will let you cycle through the various input options, labeled by cable type (HDMI, component video). Press "Enter" again when you reach the right component, then exit the menu. You should now be able to watch TV as normal.

I have a cablevision box with a set of red, green and blue wires and another set of red and white wires. How do I hook the cable to tv to get cable? The colors on the front and back of the Mickey tv are...

hi. The colored cord you described are for high definition, there should also be some jacks on the back of the cablevision box that say "video out" "left""right"

Find those, and the video out is the yellow in jack on Mickey, and the Left is the white jack on Mickey

If you can't find those, then use the cable tv out from the box to hook it up to your tv.

This is all that is needed to hook up really, just the coax cable from the box to Mickey.
I know Mickey has a antenna cable jack on the back.

Just run a cable from the box to mickey, put Mickey on channel 3, or 4, depending on what the setting is on the box, and you should be good to go!

I have a cable box...(hddvr) and a TV cable set it up on video 2 now i bought a insigna home sound, how do i hook it up the user guide only shows me how to hook it directly to TV and its not working, so...

First, if you have the jacks in back of your TV for audio out, you may have to set the audio on the TV for external audio. Go to menu and then click on audio or audio options, and see if there is a mode for external or aux audio out.If that does not work, then use cables with the RCA ends and hook up from cable box to audio in or aux in of your surround sound system. Look at the back of the cable box for audio out or aux audio output and connect these two jacks to the audio in or aux input of your surround system.
If the cable box does not have extra audio out, you can take Y connectors and branch off the two jacks that are going to your TV. Radio Shack has these Y connectors. They allow two cables to be connected to one jack.
Hope this helps, if so Please rate, and Good Luck!

No surround sound on normal tv just dvds

Do you have a cable box or satellite box? If you do, try hooking up your TV sound through the box. Look for audio out in the back of box (white/red RCA Jacks). Hook RCA cable from cable box to surround amp. Even if the audio out jacks are being used already, you can use Y connectors to hook up the surround amp to the box.
Hope this works for you!

Orion and TV Converter box

Most converter boxes will hook up to your tv if it has an antenna jack. I'm guessing the list you were looking at was a list of converter boxes that could be purchased with the governments coupons, not a list of tv's. I hope this is helpful to you. Make sure the converter box you buy has coaxial out to tv jack(it will look like the ant in jack).
