SOURCE: Horizontal lines running through pictures.....Z612.

I just got my camera back from a repair shop, and I had the same problem. It's lens shutter damage. My camera was dropped while on vacation and suddenly got horizontal lines through every pic.

Unfortunately, the shop could not repair this and suggested I send it in to Kodak. Good luck

SOURCE: Kodak Z612 won't turn on

while you turn try and turn it on slow twist and pull lens outwards(gently while power on /off) and it will retract back in and power on.Work perfectly after.

Z612 is not compatible with SDHC card., the compatible and recommended Memory card you can only used is 1GB SD card or 2GB SD card. Gudluck!

SOURCE: i have a sandisk sdhc card but it wont format on

The Z612 uses SD or MMC cards. It will not accept SDHC cards. You'll need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

SOURCE: How can you format a SD 4gb card for the Kodak

You can't. The Z612 uses SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card and is incompatible with SD devices.

For SD cards (2GB and smaller), you'll find the Format operation in the Setup menu. Press the Menu button, then use up/down to select the wrench, then press OK.

Hye! can we use umberella lights with this cemers kodak z612 ?

To use umbrella lights, you need a hotshoe connection on top of the camera to attach a radio transmitter. This would set off the umbrella lights. Some high-end DSLR cameras do this very well.

No Flash function on Kodak Easyshare Z612

To both, I'm afraid you need to send the out camera for repair.

Camera flashes use a capacitor that holds the electric energy for the flash. It takes some time to charge and discharges very rapidly to generate the light pulse. Capacitors are notorious in their reliability. They tend to disconnect and die or short circuit and die.

In camera1234's case it might just died disconnected.

In sheranne case it might died short circuiting. In this case the camera should not be used since the battery might explode.
