Not sure why your unit would reset to factory settings, it's usually the thermostat settings that control the unit and resets when you have a power failure. Most thermostats have a battery in then to power the thermostat during a power failure. They usually only maintain the power from 15 to 30 minutes to maintain your settings, before defaulting back to factory settings. After every power failure you usually have to replace the batteries.

Hello
I don't know whether you have made a factory reset to this device or not. If not, set it first and see whether it helps you. To make it factory settings:
[1] Press 'MENU""MENU" (down arrow to system setup) "ENT" (down arrow to RESET options/ ENT
[2] The unit asks if you want to reset all the options. Press [<---] to YES and then ENT. All options are reset, and the unit reverts back to map page at 4000 miles zoom range. Any recorded sonar logs of GPS data will be unchanged. OK.

Unit will not turn on without the remote.

To operate the unit without having the remote .. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it for 15 minutes. After the time has elapsed, plug the unit in and turn the ON/OFF Switch to ON. You should now be able to operate the controls on the unit itself. As it should have reverted back to the original factory setup settings.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My unit requires remote control to operate remote control is lost what 2 do

Whether you have a thru the window model or a potable AC, the same controls that are on the remote are on the face of the unit. To operate it without the remote, turn the unit OFF and unplug it. Wait 5 minutes, then plug it back in. Wait 3 minutes & turn the unit ON using the controls on the front of the unit.. The controls will have reverted back to the original factory settings and you can now use the front control panel to operate & set the controls as you like.

If you want to purchase a new hand held remote, contact Haier Product Support 1-877-337-3639.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Is there a reset somewhere? it has shut off and breaker and power supply are ok. it has done this before.

Try turning the unit OFF and unplugging it for 15 minute. During this timeout, the electronics should have time to reset and revert back to the original factory settings. Plug the unit in and turn the ON/OFF switch to ON. Set the controls where you like.

Hope this helps you.

My dehumidifier is showing an E2 code on it. It is a brand new haier, can you help me out with this problem?

E2 Code indicates a Sensor Error automatic shutdown. To find out which sensor it is you will have to call Haier Customer Support 1-877-337-363.

In the meantime, turn the unit OFF & unplug it for 15 minutes. Then plug the unit back in and turn ON. ON. Hopefully the unit reset itself and reverted back to the original factory settings. And you can set te humidity extraction level where you desire. If the error code reappears, definitely contact Haier, as youtr unit is still under warranty.

Find the "factory reset" procedure and execute it...

For SOME of the Technics units it is as follows:

It can be reverted to the original factory preset very easily. Simply press MEM&CTRL button, then select Initial from the LCD menu then followed by Total Organ

Also there may be a memory battery in the unit that is depleted that needs changing if you find settings are lost when power is removed.
