Try to remove the battery and power the laptop on with just the power supply. if that doesn't work, replace the battery and try to power it on with just battery power.
also do the lights come on like it is trying to power on but the screen stays blank?
Remove the power adapter form the computer as well as the outlet.
Then remove the battery as well and leave the machine for 30 minutes.
Next hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
After that reinsert the battery and adapter and see if it will turn on.
If it does not test the machine connecting to a different outlet.
If the problem is still there test the power adapter with a multimeter to make sure it is providing an electric current to the machine.
If it is not it means that the power adapter needs to be replaced.
However if it is your battery could be completely dead and need to be replaced.
Connect a power cable to the slot and then try.
If it still fails than take out the battery and press the power button for approx. 15 sec . put the battery in and then try.
Make sure that there are no objects placed on the keyboard, or
if you have one, the external keyboard. Turn off the computer,
and turn off all attached devices. Turn on the computer first;
then turn on the attached devices.
If an external keyboard is connected, do the following:
v Turn off the computer and disconnect the external keyboard;
then turn on the computer. Make sure that the built-in
keyboard operates correctly. If it does, have the external
keyboard serviced.
Make sure that the external keyboard is connected to the
correct connector.
