If you have a recovery disc, place it in rom and restart, set up should start. If not download from www.toshiba.com follow the promps.

You need to use the recovery discs or windows installation disc that came with the laptop.

If you have the recovery CD, then put that in the drive, reboot the laptop and make sure you boot to the CD. The recovery process will start up and you can restore the laptop to it's factory settings. Make sure you have all of your documents, music, etc. backed up.

you could set a password in the BIOS, but as far as a operating system password goes, it would be difficult, at best, to reset a password without being logged in first.....
