In one case, i can view the images on the camera. i cannot finalize the dvd completely (only a portion). after the finalized portion,there appears to be a gap in the recording.
i have another dvd that we cannot finalize at all. we can view the content on the camera. this dvd shows ??s in image mode.
I cannot finalize a DVD-RW which was recorded in VR mode. I have managed to watch a part of the DVD in a DVD player, but it only plays a quater of the recorded disc.
Perhaps I have not intialized/finalized this disc properly?I am certain that I have intialized the dics correctly in VR Mode..

Have solved the finalized problem by simply looking on the Canon website and read that you have to plug the camera into the wall to do it! If only they simply put this in the manual!!! Goodluck!
Inorder to finalize dvd- from a canon camcorder. Try plug in your AC adapter than finalize it.
if you should finalized it before, then you should check the type of disc you are using now and require of finalize.
