Laptop restarted and now it has no sound??

I just restarted my laptop and the audio device has disappeared? It's a DELL Latitude D600. It was working before, but now my laptop doesn't have sound. I checked "audio devices" and it says "no audio device" and every option is grayed out. In device manager, there is a yellow question mark under "OTHER DEVICES" and when I click on it it says "MULTIMEDIA AUDIO CONTROLLER"....

I think I just have to install this into the right place, but I don't know how. Please help

Get the TAG number of your laptop, it should be on the bottom of the case.
Delete the device that says other.
Go to the dell website download the driver software, and re-install it. Make sure the MUTE is turned off.

Best of luck

Latitude D600 PC Notebook: i have dell latitude D630 laptop when i turn on...

Hi,

Do you have the drivers and software installed for the bluetooth module - you need to make sure that you have the correct Dell package installed in order for it to be registered.

Have you also checked under the computer device manager - does the bluetooth device show there?

I would also check in the BIOS to ensure that the bluetooth module is showing there and is set to enabled.

Hope this helps

Sound doesn't work on Latitude D600. Master Mute keeps flashing on screen and the sound turns off

you have to install the sound driver, go to dell webpage, look for download drivers, choose your laptop serial and ur opertating system and download the Audio driver, then install it on ur laptop and everything will be fine.

Best Regards
