Hp pavillion dv9000 lcd screen changes colour when moved

I have hp pavillion dv9000.When I move the screen the black pixels turn red, and the other colours change also, but if I put it in a certain position the colours are fine.
Can this be fixed by reseating the LCD cable or the inverter?

The inverter is to change the volts from the laptop to the Backlight. This wont have anything to do with it.
Im more than certian it will be the LCD cable. Proberly loose or torn at where the lid closes.
Hope this helps.

Dv 9000 what lcd fits it

1) 17 inch WXGA (1440 X 900 Pixels)

Here's an example;

Another one;

MAIN THING > Match the Part Number on the back of the LCD screen to the one you are going to purchase.

It isn't just whether the screen is the correct size, and dimensions. Whether it is a glossy finish, or matte.
It is that the cabling on the back of the LCD screen is correct, and the LCD screen matches the Inverter that is installed.

Connect your laptop up to an external monitor. If you get a picture on the external monitor then you know that your Chip is fine. At that point You will need to replace the screen.

Hp dv9000 switches on to show coloured lines on screen.

Hello

My first guess is that the screen circuitry has gone bad - although fixable. Use an external monitor to verify this. If the external monitor is fine then the screen circuitry is bad, if the external screen shows the same problem then the video chip or associated circuitry has gone bad. My company fixes these all the time.

My laptop screen became pink some pixels are moving

When a laptop screen turns pink it is usually due to a loose or faulty ribbon cable from the screen to the motherboard. If replacing that does not help then the problem is the inverter.
