Youtube needs additional plug-ins software in order to play flash videos.

Download and install Adobe Flash Player to play videos in Youtube.

Instruction:

1. From your browser (Internet Explorer/Mozilla Firefox) address bar type: www.adobe.com
2. On the right part of the page click on Get Adobe Flash Player
3. In "Install Adobe Flash Player" page, it is recommended to unchecked the free Mcafee Security Scan if your computer already has a anti-virus software.
4. Click on Agree and Install now.

5. You'll see this message, click the link to download the flash player.
Thank You! Your download will start automatically.
If it does not start, click here to download

6. Choose the location to save the flash player file.
Saved files from Mozilla Firefox is located under Downloads folder under My Documents while Desktop is the default location of files downloaded from Internet Explorer.
7. After downloading the flash player, close all browser to begin with the Adobe Flash Player Installation.
8 Double Click the Adobe Flash Player file from your computer, to install ( It only runs in a matter of second to finish )

You'll have to use a proxy. Try some of the ones at proxy.org. Take note, however, that this will severely decrease your internet speed, so you might not be able to watch videos on youtube. You might also be able to use google translate to translate the page from some random language to english, sometimes that gets around the block as well.

You could also try using different streaming services like pandora, last.fm (though I'm not sure how well that one works anymore), and similar internet radio websites instead of youtube that might not be blocked. Happy hunting!

At school our youtube is blocked
all you have to do is put a s after the http and it goes to it eventually your school admins could possibly block that way but thats one way to get on youtube from your school network hopes this helps

That's between you and the IT dept. If they have blocked access to that site, I would not jeporadize my job by trying to find a way around it. It's not worth it.

In my organization, youtube is blocked by IT administration by using open DNS.
Ask them why they block it.
Ask them if it's permissible to view YouTube, especially if you need it for your job.
There is probably a reason they block it; like they don't want people fooling around looking at YouTube instead of doing their work ;-P

Now if you want to watch YouTube or have access to other sites they block (and risk loosing your job) then you can use a "proxy".
You might be able to use a free proxy like http://www.torproject.org, or there are pay proxy services from around $10 USD a month.
Finally if you have internet at home you could setup your home computer to act as a "proxy server" while you are at work.

There might be a proxy installed in your office. To bypass the proxy settings, download a tool named hot spot shield from the internet. It is a free tool, which will help you to bypass the proxy settings.

It will not work it gose to this Bad Request Apache Server at www.youtube.com Port 80
Your school or company is probably blocking Youtube via a firewall. You need to find a proxy server to get around it.
