The lens is crossthreaded, You have to take the camera apart from the back first, rear cover then front cover, Then LCD, then power board, Remove flex from lens to connector, Remove lens, disasembled lens, retime zoom barrel assy, (or replace lens assy), To put back together rev order.

My brench of camara name Powershot SD1300is digital. when i turn on with my canon camara i see lens error will shut down outomatic restart camara.

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

Canon powershot zoom lense is stuck how can i get it to

There are a few things you can try. Here is an excellent blog about lens errors and stuck lenses, and it covers what can be tried to free it up:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
They say about 50% of lens problems can be fixed trying their suggestions. Hope you're one of the lucky ones! Also, if nothing works, get an estimate before having it repaired. Often, it's just better to get another camera.

Lens Error Problem

make sure there is nothing in the way of the lens opening or touching it. that will cause a lense error while powering on/off as well as while zooming. if there is nothing in the way of the lens (ie. fingers, bag, ect.) there is an internal problem with the lense and you will have to get it fixed, try the place you bought it from or i think canon may have a repair service. hope this is still under warrenty.

Canon ixus 75 digital camera reset?

Hi

What you are seeing is just an error message, starting your camera again won't do anything unfortunately.

You need to replace the lens, we have your lens repair available on our site for about $75! If we can help please let us know.

Canon powershot SD600

Looks like the lens is "out of alignment". Canon charges heftily for this repair. However if the lens is not broken then many people have got it working through systematic bashing. Click here to view the thread

Lens error, restart camara issue in SD900

Hey GeorgiaPlum,
What is most likely happening is there is damage to the lens or the lens mechanism and you should have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. I will say that digital camera repairs often exceed the value of the camera, but it can't hurt to get an estimate done. I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Allan

Lenses

Your camera's problem is with the zooming mechanism (lens would not retract or extended) Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix your problem. In any case it could not make it worse Good luck!

Lens problem

If you've replaced the batteries with fresh ones, it probably has a broken zoom assembly. It'll have to be replaced by a repair shop.
