I can't get my scanner hooked up

Are you getting an error message? It could be your path EV. Try this
Look in C:\Windows\twain_32 and there should one other folder in there. In my case it was named CNQ4803.This is the path that is needed to be added into the PATH environment variable.

C:\Windows\twain_32\CNQ4803

Now, follow these instructions to get to the dialog to modify the PATH environment variable.Control Panel > System > and then choose Advanced System Settings in the left hand column. This will bring up the System Properties dialog (it should already be on the Advanced tab).At the bottom of this dialog is an Environment Variables button. Clicking this button will bring up the Environment Variables dialog. In the bottom panel, scroll until you find the variable named Path. Select this one and then hit the Edit... button to bring up the Edit System Variable dialog.
In the Variable value text box, scroll all the way to the right and then add in the path C:\Windows\twain_32\CNQ4803 that was determined earlier. Make sure to separate this value with a preceding semi-colon. And also be careful not to make any other changes to this value.
Now OK your way out of all of the dialogs and CanoScan Toolbox should now work as expected.

SP35 cards not printing more than one colour

Check to see if you have the current firmware installed on the printer. You can discover the version by going to Start > All Programs > Datacard Card Printers > Datacard Printer. Look at the bottom of the of the dialog box [Printer Toolbox] for the number following Printer Firmware Version. The number should be above version 24.49.

Datacard released a a new ribbon model that includes a new RFID chip. Printers with the older firmware will not recognize the new chip and thus think the ribbon is black only.

  1. Update the firmware by going to the Datacard website and use the search function in the top right corner of the website.
  2. Enter the search string "SP35 Firmware" one of the top links will point you the the Driver and Support page.
  3. Once the page loads, scroll down to the firmware subsection.
  4. Click on the "Begin your Go Green firmware upgrade now" link.
  5. Enter the contact info and click submit.
  6. Click download link once page loads.
  7. Open or Run download.
    1. This program will install software on the computer to update printer to new version of firmware. After the firmware is updated the program will ask if you would like to uninstall at end.
  8. A new dialog window will display Card printer Firmware Update.
  9. Select from drop down the Datacard printer that requires a firmware update.
  10. The dialog box will either display the update firmware version that can be flashed or indicate the "printer contains the latest firmware."
  11. If a update is possible click the Update button in the bottom left corner of the dialog window.
    1. Do Not Disconnect the power during the flash process.
    2. The printer will make beeps while the printer is flashing, this is normal.
  12. Wait till you hear the printer perform it's start-up sequence and you see a dialog on screen for success.
  13. Open Printer toolbox as mentioned above and review the firmware version number in the bottom left corner. Notice it should be a number greater than 24.49.
  14. Click on the Supplies tab in the printer toolbox dialog window and review the ribbon type.

How do I get back to classic mail?

Good Day Margaretcua!

I hope this information gets to you.

Here's a way to change back to classic Yahoo Mail.

Change first the display settings of your desktop. Change it to lower resolution. 800 x 600 is recommended.

1. Click the "Start" button on the bottom left of your computer to display the Start menu. Choose the "Control Panel" option from the right side of the Start menu. The "Control Panel" window will open onto your desktop.

2. Double-click the "Display" icon from the Control Panel to open the "Display Properties" dialog box. You can then select the "Settings" tab from the top of the dialog box.

3. Slide the bar under the "Screen resolution" setting of the "Display Properties" dialog box to decrease the screen resolution. Choose 800 x 600.

4. Click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the "Display Properties" dialog box to apply the settings.

5. Choose the "OK" button. The "Display Properties" dialog box will close and the settings will be saved.

REMEMBER: All icons and display image of your desktop will get bigger.

Next, open your internet browser and log in to your Yahoo mail Account.
The New Yahoo Mail does not support lower resolution of display setting. So it will ask you to switch back to Classic Yahoo Mail.
You will find the two links to switch back to Classic Yahoo Mail on the lower right portion of the page.
Click it.
The next time you open your Yahoo Mail, it's in classic mode.

You can return to your original display setting of desktop once the switching was successful.

Enjoy the old Yahoo Mail.
