Hi; If You have a heat pump then yes on heat strips. Does Your RV have a gas heater. If You gently remove the cover some times You can see the heat coils in the metal air flow tube...Also does the compressor run in heat mode ,if not then best guess You have heat strip capability...alpharome416

look at your thermostat,it should say,off/cool/furnace/heat strip, if it does not say heat strip,it probably does not have one

Rv heat pump problems

Open circuit or out of range Freeze Sensor. Air conditioner mode of operation will be locked out. Furnace, heat strip, heat pump and fan mode of operation can continue to operate but displays the last temperature set-point. There is a sensor that detects evaporator freezing, it may be bad or your freezing because of low freon levels

It is getting cold can you tell me how do i work the furnace part of my duo therm dometic air system

I hope this doesn,t sound patronising but i have seen people turn the themostat down to make the furnace come on obviously the thermostat has to be turned up to set for a higher tempreture , after a small time delay, should then light up.

I got a Dometic roof AC (2010) on my RV , the thermostat is givng me a E5 code, I changed 3 thermostats, opened the top and inside caps to check if there's any cut or burned wires and nothing that I...

E5 Open circuit or out of range Freeze Sensor. Air conditioner and dehumidification

operation will be locked out. Heat pump, furnace, heat strip and fan operation
can continue to operate but displays the last temperature set-point.

Sounds like your freeze sensor is defective and since it is still under warranty, you would void it if you replace it yourself.
