Hp 6110 Printer, add wider paper size. Also align cartridge keeps appearing even after I've pressed enter and the process keeps repeating.

turn off the printer
remove the cartidges.
Take a damp paper towel and clean the contacts of the cartridges and also the contact inside the holder of the cartridges.
put back the cartridges.

Print a self test

Also clear the the printer memory

your cartridges are empty or clogged
try cleaning cartridges from printers menu
if nothing happen try replacing them with new ones
or refill them by this succesfull and easy way

You need to change the print head or get it repaired

Something seems to be physically wrong in the mechanism.

Try the rolling wheels and the belt on which the cartridges run.

after align test page have you put on scanner glass and press the scan button to finish the align process. It is necessary to after aligning the page it need to scan with the scanner. Otherwise it keeps pop up.

Can you please elaborate on the failure.

There is a possibility that you are having an application problem. Check the "Page Setup" in the application to make sure the application is calling for the correct size paper.

go ahead and clean the cartridges..rather the metal contacts on them..also do reset on the printer.hit the pound and 6 key together..it will then align the cartridges..make sure of the paper sizes supported by the printer..which you are using..thanks

Bypass the allign cartridge function bu pressand holding settup then press option. The printer will immediately acccept orders.

I just noticed in the link to your forum item that additional text appears that does not appear in the item itself. It looks like you are getting a message telling you to press Enter to align your print carriage. This is a common step after you replace an ink cartridge. According to HP.com, here's what you are supposed to do:

"A message will appear in the front panel display requesting that the ink cartridges be aligned. Press Enter to start the cartridge alignment. Two pages will print. Following the instructions printed on the second page, place the first page on the scanner glass in the lower-right corner and then press Enter to finish aligning the cartridges. Remove the page from the scanner glass when complete".
