Just bought a casio wave ceptor wvq550dba-1av and the reception hand keeps going to the no (not received) position when I check for update status any suggestions? I have had this watch for a few days and tried several times to do the manual receive procedure in various locations with no sucess.

My Wave Ceptor also reset to 01/01/05 four days ago. I've had it for more than a year and this is the first time it's happened. It hasn't reset with automatic updates and I can't get it to manually update.

You can align the analogue time with the digital time by pressing the mode button until you reach the hand setting position (HS) and then press one of the right hand buttons to change the hand position.

Select "support" and the "manuals", watches;

Accept terms

Select "watch manual archive"

Read the number of the back of your watch and enter it into the search box

Click on "search" and the download your instructions.

Press the lower left hand button until the display shows "HS"

Use the upper or lower right hand buttons to adjust the hands in the appropriate direction.

You go to the time setting place then then keep changing the time until A.M. and P.M. doesn't show.

Once executed, may take hands several minutes to set

Managed to set the home time - through trial and error.
Left it at the window for a few minutes and VOILA - the watch did the rest.
MAGIC!
It keeps time perfectly.

The general instructions for the for the 2608 and the 2688 are pretty much the same. However you can go to this link and type in 2688 for your module number and get specific instructions.
