I've got a faema E91/A 3 group espresso machine. I'm testing the machine to see if all works. I've ran power by using a 10 gauge cord hooked up to 250v 30 amp. the cord is about 60ft long. Everything worked fine for the first 20 to 30 minutes then the display screen read (E 1) and nothing works. The power and lights are still on, but the functions are not working. I have no owners manual for this machine. What is the display screen trying to tell me, or what could be the possible problems/solutions. Thanks Tye

The original cord how many wire have? on the label what writes? if you have 5 wire (blue= null or neutral, green whit yelo= grounding, brown, black and grey= phases, is posible to have a red wire instead of grey, black or brown wire), on the blue wire whit one of the phases must have 220 V, on the brown whit another phase you must have 380V, if you had a bad conection is posible to damage something in electronic automatisation of the espresso machine, that machine must be conected in a water suply whitin a softner an befor use is posible to must be triggered manually. by the way, this machine must be proper instaled by a specilised personell beacause it is the risc of electric injuri and other bad things. your E1 is posible to be a temperature probe damaged or because of water mising and in 20-30 min. the machine was reaced a high temperature and safety thermostat has occurred. the best you can do is to call a repairman to solve this, if you try to repair your self it is posible to make worst.

Hi, I work with a Faema semi auto 2 group machine, why does the on / off switch have 2 settins on it??? just curious

Setting number 1 - turns on the groups and the inlet solenoid, so that the machine can fill and you can test the groups but it will not heat up. If the boiler is empty or you are setting the machine up for the first time you would turn it to one so that it can fill up, then you would turn to 2.

Setting number 2 - Turns on the everything, so the machine can heat up.

Where do I find a group head seal for my Faema Contessa (family)? In the USA? Shipping from Austrailia is $30.00 and I would like to avoid that kind of charge if possible. I don't know the size of...

You ca get one from espressopartsNw.com of from cafeparts.com, faema uses the same parts for all their machines why reinvent the wheel, so the machine likely uses an 8mm gasket or the 8.5mm gasket.

We've just had our Faema Due 2 Group serviced. Just started it up. Lights on and we've been waiting for 25minutes. Thought the guage would have moved by now. Any ideas? We are not professionals so are...

Check the knob setting, there is 1-0-2, make sure machine is turned to #2. I will assume that there is water in the boiler, check sight glass. If machine has been turned to #2 and after 10 minutes there is still no heat, check by running the group and testing water. then the hi-limit switch tripped and needs to be reset, if you remove the 8 screws on the top panel and look between the groups you will notice a red push knob in a rectangular box with 6 wires and a silver tube coming to it. Push in red pin, then turn machine to #2.

When we make coffee we some Times get a high pitch squeeling noise from the machine

It sounds like the water pump. Try to adjust it. Look at the gauge, Needs to be 8-10 when making an espresso.

I have a faema due automatic single group. Works fine except I cannot program shots. I hold down the "stop" button as per the manual, but there is no "beep" initiating the programming mode. What is wrong?

Hold down button for 8 to 10 seconds. If that is not working then you might have the older model in which you have to hold down the stop plus the button that you are programming until you get the desired volume then release button and stop button.

I have a Faema special. model no.537212 I need the schematics

I have no clue about this product, but at the terminal board how many
wires come from machine to the board,or just wires coming from machine. A 220v, should have 2 hot, neutral,gr, so 4 wires. Depending
on what it looks like, the wires come from machine to a board or just wires.then the colors of those wires.

You should send them an email asking for help or schematic.
I posted there website below. Sorry could not help further.

Doesnt work when its warm

The pumps in these are low resolution pumps and don't seem to take a lot of stress. We ran the same machine with three groups 362 days a year. You probably need to replace the pump. You should watch your gauges and be pulling 9 - 10 bars when pulling a shot. The top side of your gauges is water pressure coming in. Sounds like a new pump. Good luck.
