Hello Try these linkd to download the code list [5 digits] for Comcast. copy and paste the link into your browsers' address bar and press enter, if you do not get it as a link from here.
The real problem with the Comcast remote is that there is no other
brand, it's not like a Sony remote that's relabeled or anything.
Fortunately, Google helps again, and it turns out Comcast has a page
online about programming the Comcast remote control.
Comcast 3-in-1 remote control
To program the remote to work with your Sony TV, you need to take the
following steps:
Find the code or codes for your TV from Comcast's list [PDF]
Turn your TV on
On
the remote, press and release the TV key on the very top of the
remote.
Press and hold the Setup key, until the "TV" key
flashes twice, then release the "Setup" key.
Using the number
pad, enter in the first 4-digit code found next to your television brand
on the chart. If you do this correctly the "TV" key will flash twice.
Now it's programmed!
Now point the remote at your TV and press
the Power key. If the TV turns off, you're golden. If not, try
again with the next code on the list.
The Comcast remote will unlikely have Olevia codes available since its design age is much older than the set's.
In addition, it may never have them since Olevia is bankrupt and probably of little interest to Comcast.
You might check Comcast's website since the most recent codes will be available there.
First you need a Comcast remote with the center button, OK/Select to be grey. Now program in code 1903 to aux. Works on my FR8 System, same basic as FR9. I was unable to get Comcast remote with red center, OK/Select, to work with any codes.
I had the same problem with my remote. I would enter the code and there would be no response from the remote. I looked up the manual for the other comcast remote and the codes are 5 digits instead of 4. Try codes 10093 or 11602. The reason why there is no response from your remote is because it is waiting for you to enter the last digit of the code. Hope this helps.
The answer depends whether its a Comcast DVR Remote or a regular one. The DVR codes are 4 digit -- the others are 5 digit. I got 0060 to work for my DVR remote.
