It seems like you're trying to configure a phone system or a specific phone to have incoming calls ring on multiple extensions simultaneously or forward to another extension if not answered. The exact steps can vary depending on the phone system or model you're using. If you provide more details about the phone system or model, I can offer more accurate instructions. In the absence of specific information, here's a general guide on how you might achieve this:
**For Most Phone Systems:**
1. **Ring All Extensions:**
- Log in to the phone system's administration interface.
- Locate the call forwarding or call distribution settings.
- Look for options related to "Hunt Group," "Ring Group," "Call Distribution," or similar terms.
- Create a group that includes the extensions you want the incoming calls to ring on.
- Assign the group a number or label.
- Configure incoming calls to be forwarded to the assigned group number or label.
2. **Forward After Rings/No Answer:**
- Within the same settings area, look for options related to "Call Forwarding" or "Follow Me."
- Configure the settings to forward calls to another extension or voicemail after a certain number of rings or if there's no answer.
**Example for Asterisk-based Systems (such as FreePBX):**
1. **Ring All Extensions:**
- Log in to the FreePBX administration interface.
- Create a Ring Group.
- Add the extensions you want to include in the group.
- Set the Ring Strategy to "Ringall" or "Ring All Available."
- Specify the Ring Time (how long it should ring on each extension).
- Save the settings.
2. **Forward After Rings/No Answer:**
- Create a Follow Me setting.
- Add the destination extension(s).
- Set the Ring Time (how many seconds it should ring).
- Configure the Follow Me List to go to the next destination if there's no answer.
- Save the settings.
Please note that terminology and options might differ based on your phone system's manufacturer and model. It's important to consult your phone system's documentation or seek help from your IT department or phone system administrator if you're not familiar with the settings or if you're dealing with a complex setup.
Keep in mind that making changes to a phone system's configuration can impact its functionality, so it's a good practice to do so during non-peak hours or with proper testing to ensure everything works as expected.
Pickup code from any extension. *4001 works if your incoming calls are in ring group 1. *41 ext works if a specific phone is ringing and *42 works if the external pager is ringing.
The feature you are referring to is "Abberviated Ringing". If you are on a call and a second call comes in, it rings softly so not to bother you.

This is a programed feature for the phone system. You will need to have your vendor reprogram the system to either allow for more rings, or simply turn the night service option off when still in the office.
You need to page an extension. To program this on a button: press feature 00 press the intercom you want to change (EX: ext 10) press the right intercom and *10 press feature 00
To use, just press the button you just programmed. It will grab intercom and dial *10. Conversly, you can press intercom *10 to do the same.

I found this site because MY phone won't stop ringing. I was so happy to see your problem posted, because I was hoping to coattail for a solution. BUT then I found an old folded printout (2-28-03) of a FAQ from TTSystems (now out of business, I guess) that solved the problem.
Here it is: The extensions have to be reprogrammed after a power outage. (My trouble started after a big electrical storm knocked out power to our building.) I guess the same is true of loss of power for any reason, maybe even unplugging them if no batteries, etc. Anyway, each phone's extension defaults to 11 after power is lost. The ringing happens because all the phones have the same extension number--11. So, reprogram them so that they have an extension number from 11 through 22.
1. Press [STORE]
2. Press [1][0]
3. Enter the two digit number you wish to assign to this phone.
4. Press [MUTE]
A short ring will be heard to signal successful programming.
I am so ridiculously happy that I fixed this. I hope it works for you.
