HOW TO HAVE DATE IMPRINT ON PHOTOS..? DIRECTLY TO JPEG

As far as I have experienced, there is no setting for imprinting the time/date directly into the pictures. There is an option to print pictures with time/date, see user manual page 51, point 5.
You can however manually imprint pictures with any decent graphic program, looking at the timestamp of your pictures.

How do I get the date printed on my photo?

I'm sorry, but very likely you can't. The thing is, this was a useful feature on film photos, but the concept has been overtaken by technology, and is no longer relevant. Heh - you probably disagree with me, so let me explain that fully! When you take a photo with a digital camera, the current date and time are automatically stored in the photo file. In some cameras, it will be the same as the file date. Some cameras date the file with the date of download rather than the date of capture, but the date inside the file will always be the capture date. The date of capture is one of the items of EXIF data. You can read about this 'metadata' on wikipedia.

So how does EXIF data fulfill the benefits of the old 'print on film' date? From the point of view of indexing your library and simply not forgetting when the photo was taken, the EXIF data should always be present in the file, unless you choose to erase it. Thus, you will never lose track of the date of capture; if you have the image, you have the date. You can read the date with many tools, and in fact even Windows explorer will tell you the date if you simply hover over the picture. Here's an example; the bubble help shows the time of capture where the picture was taken, (windows shows me the time of capture in my own time zone).

What about legal proof of something? Sorry, you can't really do that any more. You couldn't have done it if you'd printed it on the image, either; it's just too easy to fake. The date of capture is editable, so it doesn't prove anything. If you need proof, get legal advice... in the heat of the moment, include a cellphone in-frame showing the date and time; you could fake that too, but it would be much harder.

Oh, you wanted your dates printed on physical pictures? Find a print shop that will print the EXIF capture date on the reverse of your photo; that way the face of your picture won't be spoiled. There is software that will print index sheets of your images and list their capture dates and times, too.

I have a canon sd600 camera. how do I imprint date and time on the photograph

The camera settings menu should give you the choice whether you want to imprint the date or not. However did you know that digital photos have an invisible exif data file attached to them. It gives you information about the camera model, date, time, exposure etc etc. Some photo viewers like irfanview can show you this file and you need not spoil your photos with a date imprint. ( depending on what they are an imprint can be useful or distracting) .

Does the Olympus FE-230 date stamp the photo when dowloaded to PC? If so, please advise how. I have downloaded some photos and date and time are not stamped on photo. but on the camera it shows date and...

The camera stores the date and time (and a lot more) with every image in what's called the EXIF data. Any competent photo viewer on your computer should be able to show you some or all of this data. If you want the date printed, that's up to your printing program. Depending on the program (and printer), you can have the date printed on the image, in the margin, or on the back. Please refer to the documentation for the program.

Date imprint on photocamera

The EOS range does not automatically "imprint" the date/time on the images. Being digital, most of the information can be found in the EXIF data anyway. If you want to print the photos with the date at the corner, I believe ZoomBrowser EX has that function. ZoomBrowser came with your camera amongst a few other CDs (eg Adobe Photoshop Elements, DPP etc)

Show/print date stamp on my photos

In order to imprint the date stamp on photos, the photo size (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) must be set to Postcard, and in the recording menu the "Date Stamp" option must be set to Date or Date & Time.

Won't print date on picture

Hi there.
You have to set the time and date to show on the picture using the camera's menu before you take the picture.
You cannot add the time and date to a picture after you have taken it except with photo editing software.
Go into the camera's menu and select the setup option, scroll down to imprint (or something like that) and set it to date and time, press OK or save and from now on the date and time will automatically added to your pictures when you take them.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
