My 1999 600 wont start smells rich it wants to start but wont also the clutch dose not have to be pulled to start and feels like if it did start it would be in gear without pulling clutch

if the tail shaft spins , but dose not move points to broken axle, other wise transmission or clutch fault.

Is there air in the clutch line does it feel real spongy or is the clutch plates stuck together and won't release??

Could possibly be Crank shaft, crank bearing, or dropped a valve. Im assuming when you say it wont start, you mean it wont even turn over. If you say the drive sprocket wont turn then someting is stopping the crank shaft from turning. You will need to explore more of the engine to find the exact problem. Workshop manuals can be found online and downloaded if you look about, they will tell you exactly how to strip the engine down.

If it is getting too much fuel you should be able to pull a vac hose such as the one to the PCV valve and make the engine speed up.
If it is too rich could be a fuel pressure regulator or injector problem.
Pull the pump relay and see if it starts then runs out of fuel.

Sounds like the clutch friction plate was on the way out when you bought the car. The smell you mentioned was probably from the clutch plate slipping.
You need someone knowledgeable to check the linkage is correctly set up and advise if a new clutch plate is required.

in a car this 'new' prob. hydraulic. check clutch fluid reservoir- should be near brake fluid res.- will be smaller- if fluid is low, or empty- may be clutch master cylinder, or clutch 'slave' cylinder is leaking. check for leak under car, should smell like 'brake' fluid. if your brake master- both reservoirs are to the full line, and there's fluid under car, close to where clutch master is located, or near front of , or side, of tranny- then it's a clutch problem of some kind (as if you didn't already know this!!) relatively new vehicle (by my standards!), should have hydraulic clutch.
do you mean- when you depress the clutch pedal, it goes to the floor, and you can't shift into any gear??
should have asked this first! front wheel drive or rear? i'll guess front wheel drive. may have hyd. fluid leak in master or slave. (apologize for 'terms', but as 'male & female connectors', it's traditional, non-racist and non-sexist nomenclature!!) gotta' be careful, in the 21st century!! if there are, as i stated previously, 2 similar reservoirs, close to each other, then you prob. have hydraulic clutch. may need 'master' rebuilt, or replaced, or 'slave' replaced-it can be rebuilt, but prob not cost effective!

You more than likely have a turbo boost hose leak or vaccum leak, and the burning smell will be the catalyst getting hot from unburned fuel..The car will run very rich with a boost leak.
