I have a Futura CE-200 but have a laptop with no cd-rom drive so i've been putting the installtion software on a thumb drive, copying it onto my latpop D-Drive and installing it from there. The initial singer software and bonus desings work great. The installation for the Auto Punch went great but when I execute the Futura program after the install and enter the Auto Punch Key I am greeted with a message that says the CD-Rom can't be found. I need to know what file to edit so the program looks to my D-Drive instead of a CD-Rom drive that does not exist. Any ideas? [email protected]

    SheTiger - I was able to install the software FROM my Hard Drive. I will look for the .ini file that tells the software to look for a CD when entering the Code; I was just hoping someone might have already found it and could tell me which file it is to save a bit of time. Got to get my taxes done this weekend too :-)

For old Futura software optional features (AutoPunch,Photostitch etc.) can be installed only from original CD. You may upgrade your software to version 2.5.0.x that has more features and more flexible installation procedure, you may ask your closest Singer supplier about it.

    yes, you can install basic software, but optional features are protected and should be installed having original cd in the cd-drive.

Do you have computers at work? You must have friends with a Desktop computer? Give them the disc and a USB memory stick. That is the long way around the problem, but you can download it online from the Singer Website :>D

Need Software, Singer Futura CE-100 Embroidery Machine,lost cd [email protected]

Unfortunately, the only place I found after searching and searching months ago was to go back to Singer itself and pay for a new CD. The cost was $100 as of January, 2011. It doesn't do any good to copy someone's CD or for someone to get it to the internet for you to download, because when you go to install the software the program asks for you to put the CD in the drive, and the program knows to look for an original CD.

I have lost the Access Key from my CD to the Futura Software. The software is loaded on my system but is asking for the key. (Singer Quantum Futura CE 200)
You will have to contact Singer customer service.

They have a website where you can look at FAQ and Futuras to see if this has been addressed before sending the question.

If you are using Futura 2.0.0.x software there is no update yet, but Windows 7 support has been already included into update for Futura 2.5.0.x. You may ask a closest Singer supplier about it.
