Need tv code to program direct tv remote

    Code 0490 does not work for me. Several codes allow me to turn the volume up but I can not turn the volume down using the direct tv remote. The mute button also does not work. Any other suggestions out there?

    I just got a Dynex as a gift with no book or information. I have a direct tv remote that works somewhat but will not turn on or off and the volume does not work. I tried to program the remote with every suggestion and number combination I could find,nothing works. I'm stumped and if anyone has another suggestion I'm willing to try it Thanks,P.

    does anyone kinow how to fix a tv its a dynex it shuts off on its own and pops just before it turns off and then it will turn on a few mins later

I have a 26" Dynex LCD TV and the dish remote code for the TV is 720. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Program a universal remote for the Dynex 32" 720p Flat Panel

I went to the DYNEX website and found universal remote codes. http://www.dynexproducts.com/universalcontrolcodes.aspx

This fixed my problem between the direct TV remote and my 42 inch DYNEX plasma. There are codes for different models as well.

Do you mean a One For All URC-3021 remote? The manual and code lists are available here: http://www.oneforall.com/support/manual . Enter Universal Remote and then the model in the drop down menus. The direct link for the URC-3021 manual is http://www.oneforall.com/uploads/support/00a1e876ce84e35c2c0351a407218d66.pdf .

The Dynex TVs are usually made by LG/Zenith. You can try the Zenith codes: 0017, 0463, 0178, 0092 .

However, universal remotes are usually limited to having only codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV is newer than your remote, you may need a new remote.

Universal Remote Code for Dynex 20" TV/DVD
I just bought a 32" dynex lcd and saw that i couldn't program my two $5 ge remotes to work it. From reading in this forum and others I'm not the only one with the problem, I thought I was stuck with only the dynex remote. But the dynex website tells you how to get universal remotes to work,
It tells you to try the codes for Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania, Zenith. The second orion code worked for me. both my ge remotes look and work the same but one uses a four digit code and the other uses a three digit code. I used 0135 on one and 135 on the other. There is a good chance that if you try the codes for the brands dynex lists you will find one that works. The 0135 or 135 might work for most dynex tv's.
If you have a ge remote and haven't programmed it for volume punch through you might try it. It allows the tv volume to be controlled using the ge remote even when it's set to something other than tv.
