I have linksys router and a linksys wireless modem. i can connected to my linksys wireless modem, but the the linksys router is not connecting to the internet. all wires are plugged in and both wireless and router have been reset. no idea what is wrong.
When you reset the modem and the linksys, they would be using the default wireless name linksys. by default, the modem would be using a 192.168.0.1 default gateway and the router a 192.168.1.1. first access the routers setup page by typing 192.168.1.1. u need to be connect to the router using an ethernet cable to do that. then once in the routers setup page. go to the wireless tab and change the ssid to any name. connect the router to the modem and disconnect the pc from the router. try connecting to the wireless network using the new ssid or wireless network name.
There is nothing issue with the linksys ist chk the ipaddress which u had provided to the modem and router is in same serious for eg: if ur modem is in 192.168.1.1 ten provide ur router ip as 192.168.0.1 and also chk whether the connection type is in PPPoE and also chk whether u r able to browse through modem which is provided by the ISP....
