Verifone programming is different between countries and even between versions. In New Zealand the setting for internet or dial comms is in UTILITY/COMM CHANNEL. It will have a setting for IP, or DIAL, or IP/DIAL if using both where it will try internet and then use the dial if the internet is down.

bad RTC can be repaired. the machine is equipped with multiple
sensors inside. if one of them goes bad, or the Battery is dead tampering or bad RTC
