We had same--water on driver side rear floor (soaked!). Driver side front floor seemed dry until feeling UNDER rug, was slightly damp. We found the location of TWO leaks causing this.

Leak #1 was through the parking brake line/cable seal; Recaulked with silicone. Removed plastic trim on floor between floor and door to reveal metal channel filled with water.

Leak #2 was where the door meets the car, near the hinge. It was the accordian-looking tube housing the wiring for the door. The big, rubber, circular plug connecting it to the main part of the car had come loose and water ran down through that, into the SAME metal channel filled with water from leak #1; will seal with silicone.

Note: We found that the channel filled extensively near the front door, BUT the carpet edge from the floor near the rear seat was dipping into it, wicking it up to the rear floor. Also, upon acceleration, the water in the channel gushed toward the back, thus soaking the rear carpet.

These leaks were found by removing all plastic trim (covering edges of carpet by doors), then one of us pouring water into specific areas of the exterior of the vehicle, and the other one watching closely with a flashlight for any signs of dripping.

2007 honda accord rear wet floor

Check your trunk drainage holes for debris and check your door gaskets. If it is the drains, the water can back up and creep through the back. If it is the gaskets it could be coming right under the door and onto the floor.

2003 suburban passenger side carpet gets wet when it rains

Just fixed the same issue on our 2004 Suburban. Turned out it was just that the drain for the rear A/C was clogged with dirt (located right behind right rear tire -- above the exhaust pipe). All it took was a paperclip, straightened out, poking gently in this narrow rubber ****... and the water came gushing out (floor was wet at the time). If you do it when the floor is dry, you would have to turn on the rear A/C for a while and make sure the condensate drips out of the drain.

Water leak rear floor driver's side as well as floor back of passenger. Drain lines from sun roof are clear. No rear end accidents. Any ideas? So far dealer cannot find a problem. 2007 Camry Hybrid

Roof drains may seem clear, but are the drain hoses, actually on the roof window frame.
Remove the head liner to be sure

Why can't the dealer use a dye type test or smoke tester. The smoke doesn't just have to be used for EVAP, that it was designed for. And you wonder why I do all my own work?

Rear a/c vent leak after hard rain

if you have a sunroof in this you drain tubes are probably plugged. you would need to remove the headliner to check.

2002 leaks on passenger side floor board

That is the sunroof drain hose. Cut the tips off with a razor blade on the driver's side also.

The rear drains are underneath the car inside of the wheel wells but don't clog as often as the front ones.

2002 Camry water on drivers side floor whenever it

There are three possibilities, the winshield seal is leaking, the door seal is defective or the door window seal is leaking, sometimes you can find out by having an assistant inside the car observe the areas mentioned while you spray the car with the pressure washer at the car wash.

Water is leaking into the drivers side floor when it rains

let's try something here and see if works,
get a garden water hose and put the most pressure near where you see leaking water and have someone inside the car look for it.

There is a water leak somewhere in my 98 toyota camry that leaks into my passenger side floor. There is no sun roof and no visible leaks from the windows or doors. Any thoughts? A/C leak maybe? water...

I am the original owner of camry xle 1998 with wet floors. In 2000 I had drivers side door seal leaking at welt. Removed old door seal and new weather strip on drivers side installed. The door panel was never wet, but wet at bottom of door where there are drain holes...slowly leaking under carpet.
In 2001 later water again. Coming from overflowing A/C evaporator-drain plugged/ tank full of debris. Removed evaporator, cleaned + drain cleaned.
In 2003, driver door seal against window rotted. Removed door panel and found leak at window belt molding at the mirror joint inside + out. Lots of mold under carpet needed to replace! Made a fuss at dealers for reacurring problem and they replaced the carpet for free.
