Hi all I have (2) NEC VT47 Lamp type VT70LP, one of the NEC VT47's stoped working so I took the lamp out of the good (2nd) NEC VT47 placing this Lamp into the (1st) projector that had failed to power up.
The problem is that the other lamp did not reset the lamp red light plus the system still will not power up also will not reset the lamp red light.
the two 2 red lights displayed are Power and Lamp.
I run the system with no lamp but all this did was make the status light flash 2 or 3 times and then stoped flashing I then put the good lamp back in but still no change as the Power and Lamp light still glow red
Is there some kind of bios reset jumper in this projector at all or is the system dead.
You can download a pdf of the manual from here:

Thanks for your time all any help on this would be ever so greatfull.
When the lamp exceeds 2100hoursof service, the projector cannot turn on and the manu is not displayed. Do the following:
For VT670/VT470 Press the help button on the remote control for a minimum of ten seconds.
For VT570/VT47 Press and hold the power and the exit buttons on the remote control simultaneously for a minimum of ten seconds. When the lamp time clock is reset to zero, the lamp indicator goes out. Hope this helps! :]
Did you reset the Lamp Hour Meter through the menu? Check page 50 in the manual for more info. That should turn the lamp light off.
Hope that helps.
Have you tried to reset the timer on the one that does not show signs of life after power up?
Page 55 shows you how to reset the timer.
Try it.

mn-tortoise page 50 this would only work befor the lamp has gone over" 3000 Eco" force shut down . Because the system had gone into force shut down mode I was not able to use the menu function. Thanks for your input :)
