That depends on how many accessories your van is equipped with. Items like the rear window defroster use a lot of amps. The more accessories, the more amps needed. Look up the number on the alternator to see what you presently have.
I have the 1990 model and just so happened to stumble on its unusual location today as I was replacing the door hinges. On the passenger side open the door and look above the step, there should be a little plastic cap with the wiper icon on it. hope this helps!
