Try this to remove carriage jammed error. Turn off your printer and open the ink cartridge door. Then use your hand to move the cartridge from left to right and then move it from right to left. I believe the ink cartridge it jammed and needs to use your hand to free it freely.
There are two possible malfunctioning in this case.
Issue with the cartridge.
Issue with the printer.
Its better if we start resolving this issue linearly and logically first by following these steps as given in the manual on the following link. Please click here: Missing, Faded, or Dull ColorsIf the above doesn't help, we might try a printer reset to bring it back to the default print settings and configuration.
Performing a Partial Reset
Disconnect any universal serial bus (USB) cables attached to the printer.
Open the print cartridge door and remove the print cartridge.
Close the print cartridge door
Press the Power button to turn the printer off and wait for the printer to shut down before proceeding to the next step.
Unplug the printer AC adapter from the printer and the wall outlet or surge protector.
NOTE:
The adapter itself has an overload trip that may need resetting, but will not reset if power is flowing to it.
Wait approximately fifteen to forty-five seconds and proceed to the next step.
Plug the AC adapter back into the wall outlet, and then into the printer, but do not plug in the USB cable.
Wait for the appropriate missing print cartridge error to verify that the printer can recognize this error.
Open the print cartridge door and re-insert the ink cartridge.
Print an internal test page.
Remove any memory card, if inserted.
Use the arrows (
) to highlight Print test page
.
Press Print
to begin printing a test page.
This is how the Test Page looks like:
If still the printer is not printing the way it should, we might think of going for a HARD RESET by following the steps below:
Performing a hard reset of the printer
Unplug the power cable from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet.
Wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable into the product and then reconnect the power cable into the electrical outlet.
If the product does not turn on, press the On
button.
First of all if there is a procedural fault when a new ink cartridge is installed this fautl can occur.
So first of all remove the printer, Uninstall the software. the reinstall the printer software and on instruction connect the printer to the PC. The new harware will be now installed .
make a test print. It must work fine.
Failing this test there can be errors in the printing head / main board.
All the inks must be working to pass the alignment test. Even with new inks you need to do a cleaning before trying the alignment. If any color is missing, it won't pass
