Phone is not charging and is getting very hot

Hi this is a good sign the battery needs replacing if you take your phone into a phone shop and just ask them to see if it needs a new battery or not they wont charge just to have a quick look at your phone but the chances are the battery just needs replacing if its getting hot then this is a sign the battery isnt holding any charge causing it to over heat.
This is a common problem with most phones.
