Jenn-Air JFC2089HES Bottom freezer, French door:

Control panel no longer works. Which is a problem now because for some reason, the veggies in the veggie bins, and any food in lower back of refrig. freezes. I have lost lots of celery and such. Bummer! In addition, the door alarm (alarms when door is left open) stopped working shortly after we bought it.

You have a control board issue and should call out a tech. to do the repair. If your still with in your 1st year of purchase then Whirlpool should pick up the charges of part and labor. The tech. will need to be Whirlpool warrenty certified.

What numbers is it changing back to? If you hear a fan that is good. Do you hear any 'clicking' by chance?

It is possible that for this, you may have a bad thermistor, but more information and or possibly an error code would help much more.

Check the water hose and make sure is not kinked.
The hose might be frozen as well.

Jenn air french door water dispenser broken

You have two sides to your 67006531 Dual Water Inlet Valve, so it is very possible the side that controls the water flow for the dispenser is defective. Replace the 67006531 Dual Water Control Valve and I believe your fridge water will work fine.

Shut the unit off or unplug it. There's probably ice formed inside preventing the door from opening. Is it frozen shut or can you open it a little? If you can open it a little something may have shifted, if so you may need an expert to come out and take a look

The water could have been frozen in the door and melted when your fridge warmed up.

The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.
