Honeywell T2060 UtilityPro Demand Control Thermostat

Adaptive Intelligent Recovery: Stupid thermostat thinks it's "adapting to my heating system" and turning on heat in advance in order to hit the requested temp at the time I programmed, but comes on way too early (4AM). Can I turn this feature off? It's not in the manual, and Honeywell site doesn't seem to have any info on this device.

The user manuals don't show all the codes that the thermostat has....
If you can find an installer manual for this thermostat, or a similar one, it will provide the installer-only codes. Search for 69-1894ES.pdf - I think you want code 0530, and set it to 0. You access the installer codes by pressing two buttons - the ones each side of the centre button that you press for the user codes

Heat pump with Honeywell T6 Pro thermostat. It's programmed for 69 during day and 65 at night. But the Adaptive Intelligent Recovery causes the house to heat up about 90 minutes too early. Options

For the T6 Pro model, I found the installation manual; search for 33-00181.pdf. I pressed Menu and + for 3 seconds to get into Advanced Mode; then Select to enter ISU ("Installer Setup"); then Select several times to get to option 425 (Adaptive Intelligent Recovery). I then pressed "-" to make the setting zero (OFF); then pressed HOME to save the setting.

Honeywell thermostat "In Recovery" Message?

In recovery only shows on programmable stats. It refers to the adaptive recovery when using the programming. Over time the stat will learn how long it takes to cool or heat to the programmed set point. For example, if during the day the programming is set to 80?, and at 4:30 the programming drops to 76?, if it takes 2 hours for the temperature to reach 76?, it will learn that it takes 2 hours and eventually it will start turning on at 2:30 so that at 4:30 the temperature is satisfied instead of at 6:30, at which point it is no longer in recovery

I want to turn off the adaptive intelligent recovery feature on my TH8000 Series programmable Honeywell thermostat. How do I do that?

You only need to turn it off if you are using program mode. Very nice stat btw. Heres a link to the pdf and I will also explain. http://customer.honeywell.com/techlit/pdf/PackedLit/69-1896EF.pdf Use the system select button so that the heat option is flashing. Look at the bottom of the screen and you will see 7 boxes. First one done and seventh one cancel with all boxes in between blank. Now at the same time hold the 3rd and 5th box (buttons) for approx 5 sec. A new screen will appear with a number sytem staring at 0120 with up or down arrows and 20 with up or down arrows. Push the left up arrow till the left number reads 0530. The right number will read 1 if its on. To turn it off select the down arrow so it reads 0. Then select done and your all set.

Chronotherm Three thermostat vs Buderus Logamatic Computer.

The outdoor thermostat senses the the temp of the outside air, and adjust the boiler water temp according to what it knows is best. The reason that the boiler is running longer is the old boiler used to be constantly sending 180ish degree water to the baseboard, now that water may only be 140ish degrees. The idea behind this is to reduce off cycle heat loss, as the greater the temp difference between the air temp and water temp, the quicker you loss heat. The theory in boiler run time is this, the less times it starts and stops, and the long run times will give you the best efficiency. Hope this answers you questions.

Honeywell UtilityPRO thermostat backlight won't go off

After posting that I was having the same problem, I found a solution.
I used these instructions http://www.hydro-temp.com/help/drawings/honeywell%2069-1894ES.pdf and followed the Installer Setup on pages 6 through 10. Basically you just need to enter the setup mode following the instructions, scroll to setting# 280 and change the setting from "1" to "0" then the backlight will turn off after 8 seconds. Don't change any other settings if you don't know what you are doing.

Non-deletable schedule in VisionPRO TH8000

The thermostat has a function called "Adaptive Intelligent Recovery".

This feature allows the thermostat to learn how long the furnace and air conditioner take to reach programmed temperature settings, so the temperature is reached at the time you set. For example: Set the Wake time to 6 am, and the temperature to 70°. The heat will come on before 6 am, so the temperature is 70° by the time you wake at 6.

You can turn off this function. Download the installation guide at the next link:
http://customer.honeywell.com/honeywell/ProductInfo.aspx/TH8321U1006
and look for funcion number 0530 Adaptive Intelligent Recovery. In this manual you also find the way to do a reset with the function number 0710.

I hope this solves your problem.

Adptive intelligent recovery

On the Pro4000 model you hold the 2 arrows until you go into setup mode. Then arrow up ONLY til you get to option 13. The display will read 13 and 1, press the DOWN arrow and it will read 13 and 0. This turns off Adaptive Intelligent recovery. Now hold the 2 arrows til you see the normal display screen. You are done.

I just did this with a Honeywell tech rep on the phone.

Honeywell deluxe programmable thermostat 69-1402m

Solution #2 as above worked (thank you very much!) to get to the programming mode, but on mine keeping Function #13 on the default setting of "0" maintained the AIR.  Toggling the Temp button to "1" changed the system to conventional on/off at the programmed times.
