Step 1. Put the playlist in a regular Windows folder on your desktop.
Step 2. Open a window for Window Explorer and navigate to your Rca Pearl which should show up as a portable USB device.
Step 3. Open the Explorer window for the device and navigate to the "music" folder.
Step 4. Drag and drop your playlist folder that you created into this folder.
When you navigate through the pearls songlist the name that you gave the folder will show up AND all the songs in that folder will play in order...... DONE!!!
I was having trouble with my daughter's MP3. The RCA website said to download Pearl Firmware (Version 2.) (http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=25). I did, several times, but it would not work. Finally, I cheked the box "Format Data Area" under Download options. Once I did this my computer immedialty saw the Pearl and I was able to re-load all my daughter's songs in Media Player.
I hope this helps. I was so worried that I was going to have to buy her a new player.
When you installed the songs all you installed was the title. I had this problem with my rca pearl,
you must downlad the song and not just the title of the song o.k.
Try again with the whole song.
when you put your cd's together put them as a playlist
Either the DB is corrupt of the license on the songs expired - make sure the music service is completely up to date. If it is, then go to RCA's website and get the latest firmware update.
I also have a pearl; put songs on the sd card & I can't play the songs from the Pearl. I can play them though, through my cell phone. Do you have any answers?
Re format the player. It thinks that you deleted parts of the other songs. They do this from time to time. Go under Pearl options, and select format. It will delete all current songs, but when you load the new ones, they will play better.
you should be able to explore your mp3 player in my computer, and explore each folder but when the windows are open click at the top files, options, view and select show hidden files as the mp3 songs already on the player may be hidden.
