Go into you text setting on your phone and select the option that you wish to have for you alert for receiving text messages, or consult your manual that you got with the cell phone on how to set the text alert message signaling.
Do you have the message center number that it's sent through..
Go to menu, messages, settings, and text message and see if this number works.

3rd party software will most likely not work as it would need to be always running to intercept and deliver a text message, the only 3rd party software i have seen for the voyager is flash applications and games. The only other option would be to call Verizon and see if they have some sort of text forwarding.
