Verbatim 1gb flash drive privacy zone lost space

I forgot the password to my privacy zone so I deleted the login icon and now my flash drive says that (I put 961mb of 964mb total in privaccy zone) The space I have to store is only 3mb which is what I did not put in privacy zone.

In order to delete your privacy zone, you have to get the application once more. To get the software click here http://verbatim.com/support/support.cfm?open=Downloads ...ok so you will have to format your flash drive with the application, removing the privacy zone if you want, this will obiously DELETE ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE after the format has completed, you can then remove the application from you flash drive, if you still remember the privacy zone password, then all you have to do is just type it and you have acess to the privacy zone... anyone who needs assistance can contact me to [email protected] if you are confused, email me and i can also try to clear it up for you. MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT PRIVACY ZONE APPLICATION FOR YOUR FLASHDRIVE

Solution #2 works providing you use the correct identifying picture for the USB you have. Quite a few USBs don't have serial numbers, but after a few minutes and copying down the software to my USB, everything went back to normal. SAVED me 1 years emergency back-up data :) Thanks #2

Forgot password to v-safe

There are no safe ways to break into you're secure area. You can format via the V-Safe 100 utility.
Open V-Safe100.exe from the USB Drive, choose the language, choose Settings, then Format. Move the slider to the top, and allow the device to format itself. This will return all the 'private' space, and allow you to set a new private zone with a password.

I have a 16 gb usb store n go flash drive, divide by 8 public + 8 private zone, now how colud change the space between these 2 zone, i tried to format the drive in order to change the size of these 2...

Formatting just deletes all information that is on a disk, so if you format a drive with two partitions on it, you're only formatting the partitions, not deleting the partition

so what you want to do is delete the partition between the two drives.. or at least make one of the partitions bigger.

in Windows 7
if you go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management > right click the partition you want to make SMALLER and click Shrink Volume, then right click the partition you want to make BIGGER and then click extend volume

you have now created a smaller partition and a larger partition

in Windows XP you're gonna need a program to do this.. if you google partitioning programs you'll find heaps, a good one that was very common was called "Partition Magic"

hope this helps

I tried to add password and some kind of zone to Verbatim Store and Go 32Gb. I didn't like it and tried to delete it all and now it has been renamed Publiczone and is only 7Gb. How do I reset this flash...

Hi,
To download the (VSafe) software click this link then click the "downloads" link there. Find your Verbatim Store and Go drive. Make sure that you choose THE CORRECT PRIVACY ZONE APPLICATION for your flash drive. Format your flash drive with the application, removing the privacy zone if you want, this will DELETE ALL DATA ON THE DRIVE after the format has completed. You can then remove the application from your flash drive, if you still remember the privacy zone password, then all you have to do is just type it and you have access to the privacy zone.

Hope this helps.

Hi unfortunaltey there isnt much you can do

There are some free data recovery software out there which you could try

the only way around this is to format the drive, do this by clicking on my computer, then right clicking on the USB flash drive and clicking format

Please can i ask that you leave feedback and vote if this has been useful

Privacy zone lost

You will have to download the v-safe software again for your flashdrive from manufacturer website. Then you can change the size of the secure area or remove it completely. http://www.verbatim.com/support/support.cfm?open=Manuals
You should be able to find the software here in the downloads section.
