With my old watch (from Walmart), all i had to do was go into the time settings and cycle through the hours until it went past the military time's midnight and it would start going through "normal" AM/PM times.

I hope this is enough information.

Wal-Mart sells affordable watches by the company Athletic Works. It's sometimes common to throw away the directions, only to discover later you can't figure out how to set the watch. The problem is that Athletic House doesn't have a website or any manual online, so you may have difficulty getting help unless you find someone who also has the watch.

There should be four buttons: mode, reset, start and light. Find the mode button and press it three times until it is in the set time mode.

Find the reset button, which usually is located on the bottom right side of the watch face, and hold it until the time starts blinking.

Press the start button to change minutes.

Press the reset button again to switch to hours. You will know it worked when the hour starts blinking instead of the minutes.

Press the start button to change the hour. The watch can handle two modes: standard and military. As you press start, the hour will change from AM to PM, noted by an "A" or a "P" in the top right. When you get through 24 hours, the watch will change to military time and an "H" will be displayed instead of "A" or "P." Keep pressing start to go through another 24-hour cycle and it will revert back to standard time.

Press the reset button to switch to the date, starting with the month, and press start to change it.

Press reset one last time to switch from month to the day, and again press the start button to switch days.

Press the mode button to finish the changes.
Tips

Depending on which type of Athletic House watch you have, the buttons might be in different places. But the steps remain the same, regardless of button placement. If you have more questions about your watch, bring it to Wal-Mart and ask to see a manual.

How do I get my WR 100 ft model # AW60724W off army time.

  1. Press the "MODE" button---usually on the lower left side of the watch, but sometimes on the right center side---to cycle through to the time display.
  2. Press and hold the "SET" button---usually on the right lower side of the watch---until the seconds flash.
  3. Press "MODE" repeatedly to cycle through the displays that flash: from hours to minutes to month to date and day. At the end of the cycle is the hour display option. Make this option flash.
  4. Press the "SPLIT/RESET" button below the face of the watch to change the hour display option to "24-hour display." This is the same as military time. If there is a "NEXT" button on the upper-right side of the watch, use this to advance to the 24-hour option instead of using the "SPLIT/RESET" button. You may need to press a "START/SPLIT" button instead a "SPLIT/RESET" button to cycle between 12- and 24-hour display. The "START/SPLIT" button could be located below the watch face or on the upper-right side of the watch, depending on the model.
  5. Press the "SET" button again. You are now done. All PM hours should be displaying hours between 12 and 23.

How do i get my athletic watch off of military time? It's a water resistant watch up to 165 ft. model # aw60447w

military time:
1. When setting the time on your watch, IF you watch can change to Military time(and most can)
2. when you are adjusting the hours go through a full 24 hour cycle. You'll notice that the 2nd time through it is on military time.. 3rd time through back to 12 hour day AM/PM cycle .. 4th time back to Military.
So you can do this as many times as it takes to get to the right time ..
In 24 hour time you will see an "H" displayed where you normally see and "A" for AM and "P" for pm.
