Malibu TDC PTST-30012 turns on in the middle of the day

I bought a Malibu TDC PTST-30012 for outdoor landscape lighting. The light sensor doesn't seem to work as the device turns on in the middle of the day. Is there a way to adjust the photo sensor sensitivity?

1) Contact malibu lights directly.
Their site does not acknowledge TDC PTST-30012, so I cannot access a manual with best information.
Their products come with a warranty.

2) If unit can be set to override, you can buy cheap photo eye timer, and then plug power pack into cheap timer, but there is no guarantee this will work, or that power pack will burn out.

3) Buy ordinary power pack with dial-type timer, and then buy photo eye that fits.

4) As electrician, I would not buy anything that costs more than $15 that comes with built-in photo eye that cannot be replaced.
Especially something as buggy as a low voltage power pack.

Lights will turn on and off manually only

Just checking, still plugged in, fuse or circuit breaker not tripped that provides power to it? If you can turn it manually, and the dial does not turn when powered up, look for a small on/off switch, other than that, maybe it does need replacement, but they usually last longer that a year, but I have had some timers that just quit working on me too.

Programming the Malibu landscape sensor pack. Model # : 8100-9100

it is an adjustable photosensor system. you will need to play with it to fine tune the settings, but you also need to keep in mind that photo sensor react to everything around them, shade can cause it to think the sun is going down, a cloudy day will cause it to stay on, or to come on. if you are looking for away to set it, to only come on when the sun is going to go down, and to turn off when the sun starts to rise, it might actually be easier for you, to get a time programmed timer for you lighting.

I just bought a new Malibu Landscape Lighting 200 watt Transformer ML200RT and have 8 10-watt halogen new light fixtures hooked up to it. It worked for 4 days and all the lights went out. I have 11 feet of...

working with those outdoors transformer I have ran into couple would short the unit out by installing it wrong or exposing to lots of waters/moister. Again, it could also be a factory fault unit, some products will only last only few days before it blow out. It happen and most of those unit have 5 years warranty on them. I would take it back and get another and if it happens again than you may not installing it correctly or installing too close exposing to lots of moister and may short the unit out. I don't recommend trying to fix it still having warranty on them, get a replacement and start over. good luck and i hope that help some
