I've lost my CD with the software to download the photo's of my daughters disney cars digital camera. Who can help me find this software?

1) Connect the camera with the provided USB cable.
2) Download the latest driver from the web site:
http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/226086/medion-disney-pix-digital-camera-driver-1.0-windows-xp-free-download.html
select the "The Disney Pix Micro Drivers for WIN ME, 2000, XP"
3) Install this driver, this will not enable the camera to work yet.
4) After this driver has installed, go to Control Panel
5) Select System
6) Select the Hardware tab
7) Select Device Manager
8) Find the device in the list (mine said "USB Digital Still Camera"), will probably have the yellow exclamation mark on it saying that it is not working.
9) Double click the device
10) Select "Reinstall Driver" from the General tab
11) When asked if Windows can connect to Windows Update to search for software, select "Yes, this time only" and click Next.
12) Choose "Install the software automatically" and click Next.
13) You should get a message saying the driver for the "DB CIF Cam" has not passed the Windows Logo testing, select "Continue Anyway".
14) Click Finish.
15) The first time I did this, I needed to take a picture while the camera was connected to the PC.

After doing this I am able to download the pictures and everything works great. I hope this helps.

Followed procedure in documentation: install software, when asked to connect camera in USB, did. XP then came with Found New Hardware: search for driver. Allowed XP to find driver. Got hardware not...

Unplug the camera, reinstall the drivers, DON'T let xp find the drivers, WAIT till the install program asks you to plug in to the camera, plug it in, then click continue.

How do i install a high speed usb port in my ibm tp 600e and also is this computer wi-fi compatible

Plug an external High-speed USB device to a free USB port your computer.

Allow the "Add New Hardware" wizard to search your system for drivers. Windows Vista would typically ask for a location for the drivers while Windows XP would give you the option of saving your preference.

However, if the device was shipped or sold with an installation CD/DVD, slot it in the CD/DVD drive and choose to search locations you specify for the drivers.

Ask your vendor for the best location to find the drivers on the CD/DVD. To be on the safer side, install the software on the CD/DVD. In most cases, the drivers get copied to the system and automatically attracts a recognition by the 'Add New Hardware' wizard.

When the Hardware installs successfully, launch the software (if any) to configure your device the best way it suits you.

Hope this helps!

My computer is saying the software has been installed for the JVC GR-D73 but I can't access the files?

You need to download videos from your camera onto your PC. You need to install Image Mixer(included in your CD provided) and launch this program(camera connected either USB or FIREWIRE) and click which connection you are using and your camera must then be detected. If no response at all, update your driver. How? Right click MY COMPUTER, click MANAGE, then DEVICE MANAGER and look for yellow mark(e.g. GR-D73) if there is and update(you will be asked to insert CD) follow the prompt. Remember installing drivers on XP, Hardware must be connected first before doing so. Good Luck

How to install cameras to computer

Whenever you connect a new peripheral to your pc it detects it and tells you that it has detected a new hardware and tries to install necessary driver files for it. If your OS is not having necessary files it asks you to insert the drivr CD. In order to let the OS know what is configuration of the H/W .ini file is required which remains in the driver installation CD. You have to show the path to the OS where the .ini file is located. If the PC does not detects the camera on Plug n play then you can go to control panel camera and scanners and add a new one over there once asked for driver you have to give it a path to the installation CD. Now a days vendors do not give away open drivers they put it in autoexe cab under this situation you should not connect the camera to the PC untill you run the exe or setup file in the installation CD after running it you can connect the camera and windows will detect it. Hope this solves your prob. If any further assistance required kindly ask.

My computer (Win XP) doesn't recognize my nikon d40

I have to ask 1st, why are you connecting your camera direct? Is it to download your pictures? Anyway it should'nt matter. Did you download the Nikon Transfer and or ViewNX CD that the camera came with? If not, that may be the cause. Another thing is your computer operating system being Vist and or XP with or without SP2 and if Mac it should be 10.3.9, 10.4.11 or 10.5.2
